From what I saw on the news, it looks like there could be a resolution involving a new swath of land for them to use.

The meeting went ok. The new area that is being proposed will take a lot of effort to get a track there. It certainly is worth trying as we could probably get a parking lot for auto-x also. The current track should be used in the interim as it could be used now. I am little concerned that they won't allow the use of the current track because of the other option.

Agreed. I find it baffling on the arguements for NOT being able to use it. Namely the dead horse tried and true "too much noise one. People live right next to Anchorage International Airport which when I lived near there, and near STL International, it was NOT quite. Not to mention, that track has dirtbikes running on it in all through the summer. I fail to see how the dirtbikes are less of a nuisance than the snow machines. BUT that is just me.

I do think its good they at least are working ot resolve the problem by offering up another location, however I will agree you should be able to use it till then.
