Default New Lingenfelter Camaro Packages are Sledgehammer-Subtle

Quote:
Having been on the market for nearly three years now, the Chevy Camaro may have lost some of the wow factor it enjoyed when it was new. If your Camaro is starting to feel a little too ordinary, Lingenfelter is here to help with its Signature Series Performance packages. The tunerís line of new packages are meant to enhance the looks and performance of a current-gen Camaro, and can be outfitted to either coupes or convertibles.

Two package levels are offered, each with its own unique graphics and equipment. The Signature Series 1 package for V-6 and V-8 models includes level 1 graphics and a Signature Series body kit, which adds a custom hood, custom grille with Lingenfelter shield badge, unique front spoiler, side skirts, rear fascia panel, and read spoiler.

A set of custom Lingenfelter alloy wheels complete the packageís exterior look, while a custom Lingenfelter leather shift knob, CNC-machined aluminum pedal covers, embroidered interior, and sequentially-numbered dash plaque set off the interior. For performance enhancements, the Series 1 package gets a performance suspension by Pedders and a Magnaflow exhaust system.

The Series 2 package includes many of the features of the Series 1, but adds the ground-shaking horsepower modifications Lingenfelter is known for.

The Series 2 gets the same body kit as the lesser package, but also gets level 2 graphics, exclusive 20-inch Lingenfelter forged alloy wheels wrapped in 275/40ZR20-size tires in the front, and 315/35ZR20 tires in the rear. The Pedders performance suspension is used on this model as well, but the Series 2 also gets Brembo brake calipers and rotors and a Corsa stainless exhaust system. What really sets the two packages apart, though, is the 600-hp supercharged LS3 V-8 of the Series 2.

To achieve that number, Lingenfelter installs a Magnuson TVS2300 intercooled supercharger system, Kenne Bell Boost-A-Pump fuel pump voltage booster, Lingenfelter high-flow intake, appropriately-sized fuel injectors, and a 160-degree thermostat. Lingenfelter also provides a chassis dyno report once the installation is completed, and covers the engine with a three-year/36,000-mile warranty.

So, if the novelty of your new Camaro is starting to wear off, maybe itís time to give the folks at Lingenfelter a call.

That's gross... In a bad way. I'm seeing other links showing different pain jobs though. Is the one above supposed to be the OEM paint?

Also, this one lokos a bit better, though I think its just a concept:

What the hell is up with all these special rice boy editions? It's like they gave a 16yo a spray can and let him go nuts.

The stripes sort of emphasize the headlight/grille area, and something about it (can't quite put my finger on what, exactly) reminds me of the early Dodge Daytona from the K-car era. This probably isn't a good thing.

Why don't new Camaro tuners figure out a way to make the cars go fast? They seem to do a good job with finding bigger wheels, adding power, and stickers. But it seems that with 600hp they can't keep up with stock LS3 Corvettes. bleh.
