Default Sedan Rear bumper VS Wagon Rear bumper

I am potentially looking at getting a rear bumper for my wagon, however it appears from a quick glance that the wagon rear bumper is different from the sedans. The dip from the taillights looks a little further out on my wagon then on the sedan in relation to the dip for the trunk/hatch area. Obviously the taillights are different as the wagon has flat quarters and the sedans have blisters. Most sites dont reference the bumper not fitting the wagon and vice versa and im not ready to convert my rear end to sedan tails yet as I have not had a chance to have the rear quarters pulled or rear doors waped out yet.

also does anyone make a decent wing for the 04/05 wagon aside from the outback lower deck?

Sedan rear bumpers are wider than those on the wagons, won't work unless you convert the rear end as you mentioned.

by wider you mean rear overall width or just trunk opening area? because if its just a taillights not fitting issue the kit is FG so it can be modified easily

From the measurements I have my bumper and a sedan are the same, my opening for the hatach is slightly larger but that is all really aside from the taillight mis matching, but that can be overcome easliy
for now thoughI think Im gonna just go with a STi rear lip(the side canards)

What happened with this?! How did it go? End up drilling any holes and if so how far off was it eating the rear spats on my wagon. Don't wanna convert the back end. But a lip/spat combo would make it look wider and not as rounded

I left the rear wagon bumper on, here is the finished look for it. If you did put the rear bumper from a sedan on you might have fitment issues near the hatch, but it would be wider as well due to the wider rear 1/4 pannels.
