Default Top Scoob Locals Only, SCIC Edition, VOTE for your favorite Scoob !!

Top Scoob is setting up shop in Southern California this month and we're looking for one amazing car.

We're here to find the best Subarus the Southern California region has to offer. Only cars from the SCIC are allowed to enter this contest, otherwise it's open to any and all Subarus. Any model, year, or stylistic direction are permitted.

So if you're an SCIC regular and think your Subaru has what it takes to wow the masses, read the rules and enter in this thread. Maybe after three rounds of eliminations your car will be a Top Scoob !!

Good Luck !!

Quote:
It’s easy to enter your car, all you need is a Subaru, a camera, a place to host pictures, a user account here on NASIOC.com, and the ability to type a sentence or two…

The Rules are as follows...
  • Please limit your entry post to only FIVE pictures of your car, whatever you feel best shows off your hard work. Once the voting begins you are free to add more pictures with new post. Feel free to post away for as long as you remain in the running.
  • A written description of your ride, the more detailed the better. We’re talking about more than just a mod list, we want you to share the story behind your Scoob. Tell us why and how you bought it, what inspires you to modify it, and what all you’ve done to it and why. Most important is to tell us what you do with your car...race, show, cruise, polish with a diaper, whatever.
Think of it as your own magazine feature, the better you sell your car to the masses the better the chances of your Subaru becoming a Top Scoob.

  • You're more then welcome to start a campaign thread in your Regional Forum however the General, Off Topic, and Gallery forums are off limits to threads requesting votes. If you already have a thread about your car in the Gallery feel free to bump away. If you don't have a build thread consider starting one!
  • TRASH TALKING is not welcome in this contest. If you need to tear down another competitor to improve your own or a friend's chances please remember this is only a contest intended to be fun for all Subaru enthusiasts.
How it works
  • This is a contest, open to all Nasioc members that own a Subaru.
  • You must be the current owner of the car, no third party entries allowed. If you have a question about your car's eligibility please just ask.
  • When it's time to enter you can do by responding to Top Scoob thread in either Nasioc's Official News, Articles, and Polls Forum, the Member's Car Gallery or check for one of the Top Scoob LOCALS ONLY rounds in NASIOC's regional or international forums. Any themes or restrictions on entries will be clearly described before the contest begins. For example: GC Only, or Wagons Only, or STi, ect. ect. there's a new theme every time.
  • Please only one entry per person.
Voting and Eliminations
  • There are three rounds of voting, Round One = 8 days, Round Two = 8 days, Final Round = 10 days
  • After the First Round only the Top Ten cars move on.
  • After the Second Round only the Top Three move on.
  • The Top Three cars will go head to head to head in a final poll to select who has the next Top Scoob.
  • Votes are automatically reset to zero at the start of each round.
  • In case of a tied vote for the last transfer spot in the first two rounds, the entrants involved will compete in a 24-hour Run Off vote.
If there is a tied vote for first place in the final round, a 72-hour Run Off vote will decide the winner.

Ill bite, Heres my bugeye.

I got her In Apr 2004 Stock and with only 15,000 miles! My Plan was to keep her stock, but as soon as I discovered NASIOC and the SCIC FS forum..the mod bug bit me
After going to a few meets, I got sucked into the whole car culture. I loved that this car gave me a whole batch of friends..More like family nowadays. I kept going to more and more meets meeting all kinds of people, Started going out for drives, clubs, and events. I loved everything that came with the car. I eventually decided to start a local club.... a little club... better known as the super-ultra-awsome Socal Flat 4

When I started modding its was with simple exterior mods, Morrettes were #1 on the list.. the neon headlights had to go! then I got the OEM front lip so I decided to get the rear lip to match, the skirts are OEM painted PSM. Later came some mild suspension work, with Tein HA Coilovers. A few months later I got a nice deal with a trunk swap (my WRX trunk/wing for STI trunk/spoiler). Then I went with some power mods VF-30 with all the shiny bolt-ons I did some body bracing (all cusco braces) power bars, strut bars ect ect. The I moved on the the brakes, Brembo fronts with slotted rotors and Rotora BBK in the rear. But I must say that my biggest favorite mod Is the STi 6-speed transmission. After all this work I really havent changed my car much. When you first get a car you always think of how you wished it looked like...Im already there .

For now Im happy with how she looks and performs.

ENJOY!

Well I guess I shall enter as well....

I purchased this car back in 07 from a guy who had this car and 3 other Porsche's and he did not drive this car much at all. I got it with 7,231 original miles and bone stock with no previous mods ever done to the car. Once I got the car home I started putting some of my old parts from my first WRX onto the new and improved platform. When choosing mods I tend to do my homework for awhile on whether the part will match my styling of the car that I am going for. I work on my own vehicle as much as humanly possible as I tend not to trust anyone with my car but myself. I keep it detailed as often as possible as I do not like to have a dirty car.

Most of the carbon fiber bits on this car were purchased but most of the new recent carbon parts were actually hand layed by myself during my spare time. I like having carbon fiber mostly inside my car as it tends to dress up the interior, the exterior carbon bits are only meant to accent the already clean exterior look I am going for.

The car has been through a few sets of rims and suspension setups and I am sure down the road it will see a few different of both again as I like to change up the setup when I find something that will match my style while trying to be as unique as possible.

The car has not been through much lately due to me finishing my degree but since now I have plenty of spare time on my hands expect to see a few new custom pieces coming out and appearing on my car in the near future....

Thanks,

Chris

Poll is up (finally!) and we'll keep it open for twelve days for a single round.

Much thanks and good luck to all four of our entrants. This is a quality over quantity round and a hard choice to be sure.
