Default question about v5/6 boost levels

Unmolested V5 STi type RA 1999 - 2000 ej207

what is the stock psi for boost?

About how far can I turn it up on stock internals and stay reliable with following mods?
-
parallel fuel rails
Upgraded fuel pump
AC delete
Rotated manifold
FMIC
Turbo timer
Upgraded radiator
Strengthened oil pickup tube
Launch control
Open DP
Lite tune

Would like to get close to 400 to the wheels, is that feasable with these mods?

there is nothing special with the 5 and 6 207. most people abroad pop them at the near 350whp point.

Just to clarify

You want to know the stock boost is on an EJ207? Because your goal is 400hp and you want to know how significantly far from stock you are when you get your 400hp and blow the engine?

Isnt "unmolested" code for no upgraded internals?

If you consider factory forged pistons, crazy flowing heads and hot cams nothing special. Rods good for 350-400whp. Pistons are good for more if you dont det. IIRC stock boost is around 15-17psi. My car made 290whp stock and I ran low 12s with the vf28 at about 19psi. Car ran 11s with the vf22 but like all abused subys it finally spun a rod bearing.

If you want to turn up the boost on these engines you need better then 93 octane, The ign maps are too aggressive. Remember detonation will kill any engine in short time.

I love goooollllllllddddd

peak stock boost should be 17psi, for all v3-6 STi

if you are expecting more than 350whp you will want to upgrade the rods. and as for any JDM import engine, its not a bad to tear it down and refresh the bearings with ACL race bearings, and ARP head studs if you'd like

can it be done? probblay

but its not the best place to start
rods/bearings/injectors(e85 or race gas)/engine management (standalone)/big turbo

starting with a 01+ ej205 would be easier and cheaper due to re-programmable ecu

the rods and pistons are nothing special. not many v6 had big port heads.
