Nice pics! Now, if only those could see production (minus BRZ) looking somewhat how they actually do.

Great pics, thanks.

Subaru Advanced Tourer proportions make me wonder if Toyota will be sharing the Venza platform.

The Advanced Tourer looked like a Ford to me. Which is a good thing as, unlike Subaru, Ford has been producing cars lately that aren't hideous.

Yeah, I got the Mach 5 "M" thing...

It looks like a very cool, streamlined race car. It deserves a screaming rotary engine in it.

I wish they wouldn't change cars so much from their concept look to what they look like when they hit production. Concepts look so much better!

Having a car that a company can build efficiently so people won't have to pay $80k for a family sedan and is reasonably safe for yourself and others on the road is much more important than looks.

+1

There's been a lot of effort to make concepts closer to a production car, and to make the production closer to concept... It wasn't that long ago where concept cars looked nothing like the production car... Hopefully in the near future they will be able to get even closer... It is all part of the process though... Designers design the concept without many restrictions... Then it goes to the auto shows, they listen to feedback, then make changes... From there, when it goes to production, they have to change things for safety, for aerodynamics, cost, practicality, efficiency etc...

That's when the designer meets the engineer. My friend designed for Mazda here in japan. He just changed over to Hyundai in Cali. Some things just aren't feasible when safety and practicality come into play

I would happily rock an Advanced Tourer with a 3.0L flat six turbo and a 6 speed manual.

I'd consider almost any Subaru with a 6-cyl boxer, and a 6MT. Doesn't even need a turbo, especially if it means they can tune the EZ to it's potential, and not have to cork it to keep a 5EAT happy with less than 260 lb.ft. or so of torque.

If it looked slick like the Advanced Tourer... that is fine with me. An AWD Grand Touring coupe... even better.
