Default Good local wheel/tire source?

Where have you all had luck with wheels and tires locally in Vancouver? I'm thinking OZ SL/P1/P7 - stuff you can get on Tire Rack.

Cheers,

Martin

Volco Tires has it. www.volcotires.com
Tire Trends is probably your best bet: www.tiretrends.com

Tire Trends has the cheapest for OZ you'll find locally because I've looked before.

You can ask Don at PDM Racing. www.pdm-racing.com

But my thumbs up goes for tiretrends.com

Thanks, guys. BTW, is Volco the main source for Prodrive? Tire Trends can't get it. Volco said that Tire Rack is the only source for Prodrive, and they have a direct pipeline to them. Therefore, the price is the Tire Rack price (in CDN$ of course).

South Canada looks like a very shadey shop to buy tires and wheels from. It looks like their wheels are stolen or something. But that's just my impression of them.

yeah well it ain't a pretty neighborhood either... but that's what "low overhead" does

i've bought 2 sets of wheels and tires from them before for my old integras. i had my 17's mounted and balanced there as well because no one else would do it for less than $100 (let alone had a machine that would do it).

again i stress that u go to other shops first and get price quotes/selection choices before going there so u can get right to the point when u talk shop at south canada.

I went by South Canada on Friday, and they do have very good prices. $157 for SP5000 205-55-16. But they do look shabby. Ben, did you have any problems with their mounting and balancing? Did they scratch your rims at all?

yeah, scary place eh? gives it personality

personally i've never had any problems, but my brother did get one of his wheels scratched during mounting. instead of repairing it they went in the back and got him a new replacement since he originally had bought the wheels from them awhile back.

again, i must stress that if u are going to buy from them, check out the competitors first. there are some brands that south canada may say they can get, but do not normally stock, so they actually may end up being MORE than others
