I bought my 2012 Impreza premium all weather package for 20,129! The dealership had it I believe 2k off msrp so I called them about it and they said it wasn't supposed to be 2k off it was a typo ( it was the first car listed and the only car listed with that price) so they said they would honor it for me! Within 3 min that we got off the phone I checked the price again online and it was off. Haha.

a question for those who ordered, how long did it take to get your first email from Subaru about your order? I ordered 6 days ago and haven't heard anything

You should get your email with VIN a few weeks after you order your car. Probably a few weeks prior to delivery.

I just drove my new 2.0i back yesterday 550+ miles from a dealer to get what I wanted (base model) in OBP. I'll have to grab some pictures tomorrow after I get the bugs cleaned off.

And for the thread:

2012 Impreza 2.0i in Obsidian Black Pearl
Hatchback, Manual, base model.

$17,745 + TTL

I ordered a Limited 5-door with moonroof and Nav on JAN 14th and got an order confirmation on JAN 16th. Unfortunately it was supposed to deliver in MAR and I still don't have a VIIN. The dealer told me 2 weeks ago that the website shows it's supposed to deliver on APR 12th but they didn't understand how because they don't have a VIIN either. Yesterday I was told that all models ordered with Nav are delayed for some unknown reason.

I never received a VIN before taking delivery; don't let that part bother you too much.

Thanks for the info, I really hope you're correct because I'm really hoping my plan to start saving gas gets to start soon. My wife drives almost 100 miles per day and the gas mileage in her Compass has dropped quite a bit since she started carting a couple of her co-workers to work and back every day.

wow! must be nice to have low sales tax and fees!

i realized i never contributed my numbers:

Limited 5DR PZEV: 21,410 + TTL (OTD was 23.4k or so)

also got for self install (side body moldings: $143, homelink mirror: $162)

delivery was fast (lucky!) for me...22 days between ordering and pickup, but my dealer says that was a rare match which allowed it to happen. (DGM and zero options added before or after port, probably helped)

Now that I got the quote for $20,978 , I'll see if the dealer will add the mirror with homelink and rearcargo tray to close the deal....

Did you order the homelink mirror through the dealer? I haven't seen it so cheap.

I actually just came from owning a Toyota. Good luck. They really started cheaping their vehicles out. Haven't owned an Acura so I can't comment on those.

yes, the dealer sold it to me at what he claimed was "at cost."

i kindly asked if he could give me a discount on it and the side molding strips for self install since i was buying the car from them. he said yes and sold them both to me at cost...if you compare this with invoice prices, they are slightly less. both invoice prices and what i paid are significantly less than what i could find online.

(haven't gotten the side moldings because they had to order them, but they had the homelink mirror in stock...if you're interested, check out the other thread i started regarding the challenges on installing it)

My friend owned a 2010 Corolla S which toyota bought back because it would want to pull left or right sharply even when you were holding the steering wheel straight. He leased a 2011 Camry and swore it would be his last Toyota. The dash was coming up around the vents and there was a huge gap where the top part of the door trim met the lower part.

Have driven plenty of acura's and they are good cars. Speaking of great cars, I love my Impreza! This is my second subaru and I'm very happy with my decision.
