I am all for laughing it off, I HATE the Eagles and love to watch them flounder.

Agreed on structure- I can't think of one instance where coach/GM has worked out well. If you look, Reid's best years were arguably before he became EVP and right after- when his teams still had the core of players picked by someone else.

I can't get into all the of the examples, but here is two examples:

Card dealt to him:
1. Mcnabb chokes in Superbowl ( 3 INTs and Throw-up)
2. Continued Support of System that didn't get back to superbowl
3. Supported McNabb even though he was not getting the job done

Ex. 2
1. Prospective back-up QB M Vick. (good idea)
2. Release McNabb promote Vick (possibly a good idea)
3. Continue to support Vick during Vick's failure. (bad idea/bad hand)

1- I would argue he was outcoached and McNabb was playing from behind without his star receiver healthy. McNabb was the only reason that game was close iirc.
2- How is that not him? He is the EVP and the coach.
3- How is that not him? He is the EVP and the coach.

not reids fault for how mcnabb played in the SB (and they almost won that game too)...but the rest he made happen...it not like it was thrust upon him...all those were reids decisions...he dealt himself those hands

Wade Phillips was a good coach, 2 time 1st place in NFC east.

I guess "LA <insert team>" will be the new NFL buzzword until one of these franchises actually decides to drop its turd on Los Angeles?

... and FYI, I'm really nervous about next week. Giants coming off a huge win, going up against a "lesser" opponent... same recipe that spelled two losses to the Deadskins last year.

Except this year, the Skins have a ground game on the edges. Which is exactly where everyone has been burning the Giants so far.

Ugh.

No, I blame him for poor personnel choices, mediocre coaching, and bad game planning. It would be easier if you just tried to support your little list, which Brad and I debunked.

He made an O-Line coordinator a D coordinator... I mean, seriously.

I'd be nervous too, and I am (for the Skins). I don't want to see J.P.P. take RGthrizzles head off, but I can feel it coming.

But, it's the NFC east, so who the **** knows what will happen?!

I'm more worried about RGIII getting hurt, forget winning and losing.

Here is your little list, with options-
1. Mcnabb chokes in Superbowl ( 3 INTs and Throw-up)
Better game plan, use Westbrook more. Reid always gets away from the run, when you run it 15 times and throw it 51 times you aren't setting McNiblet up for success. Clearly McNabb isn't blameless, but you have to balance it more than that!

2. Continued Support of System that didn't get back to superbowl
How the F is this not his fault. Since 2001 he is the EVP of Football Operations!!!!
Quote:
In 2001, Reid was named executive vice president of football operations of the Eagles, effectively making him the team's general manager. Although the Eagles have had someone with the title of general manager since 2005 (Tom Heckert from 2005 to 2010, and Howie Roseman since 2010), Reid has the final say on football matters.
3. Supported McNabb even though he was not getting the job done
Again, this was his call. I would argue it was his game plans that were easily as much the issue. How many times has Reid been called out for being too pass heavy? He could have drafted someone else or used a trade to get a better backup.

Just to make sure you get it-

Ex. 2
1. Prospective back-up QB M Vick. (good idea)
This has worked out great. This year the dude has more Fumbles than the whole teams of Washington, New Orleans, Chicago, Atlanta and Detroit, combined. Not all his fault, Reid's system doesn't help Vick out at all, but he sure as **** is looking like a has been.

2. Release McNabb promote Vick (possibly a good idea)
This wasn't a bad idea, but it wasn't for Vick, Cpt. Short Memory, it was for Kolb, which was genius.

3. Continue to support Vick during Vick's failure. (bad idea/bad hand)
I blame the game planning. Maybe if they had a good O line coach. Oh wait, he is running the defense.

Plummeting employment rates, home values, overall living environment, and gangstas doing gangsta things on buses before getting knocked out is one thing.

But take the Browns? Mass hysteria!
