Very unique. Not sure how I feel about the matte green/gold wheel combo, but to each his own.

I left for Vegas Friday afternoon for a friends bachelor party, Motley Crue at Hard Rock, and SuperBowl Sunday at, ...well, an "undisclosed location". So i'm just now getting back to emails, replying, responding, etc... I wish I could say I won the game too. But really, this is great, ...lemmie get started.

Abbit, Jgart, ...and the rest of the competitors. I genuinely hope there is no ill will, or desrespect here. We should all be happy with being involved in such a Top Scoob. I thank you all for being a part of it with me.

Thank you Ferg, ...it was definately that! I must say, a wild ride it was. I wanted to jump in at many times, but felt it was best to just leave it all alone and let the board do thier thing. As I stated in the "News" thread:

...Thank you everyone, ...Feels great to be in the company of the Top Scoob family.

I know a lot of people felt I shouldn't have entered this contest, I took (as did Abbit) a lot of grief in it (the contest). As I mentioned many times through the duration of the event, There were many awesome cars deserving of the win. ...so with that said, Thanks again Nasioc for the votes to give it to me.

It could be, I don't know the exact numbers for sure, which is why I estimated it. I had Jarred from PDX tuning do a custom tune on it,...my 04 STI made 300, ...when I asked him what would be best estimate on the numbers, he said this would suffice. Whetever it is, I'm sure it's damn close.

I do have a couple issues though...
1. Those power numbers are way overinflated...
2. All that wonderful appearance stuff and not much in suspension... no sway bars? Really?
3. Why would you do a matte CF roof and a glossy CF hood. Makes no sense to me.
4. I'm gonna have to pick another color vinyl now cause this car is gonna make everyone go green....
(1) see above

(2) ...well, the Tanabe Sustec coilovers are already very firm, and with my "Hardparker", I felt no need to add more, as I wasn't going to be tracking or racing this car.

(3) A couple reasons: One, I run a vinyl garphics business, so that was the obvious. Two, a real carbon roof would have meant cutting out the stock roof, ...are you kidding me!! as well, I had already dynamatted the roof for the audio system and loved the sound.

(4) I picked the green becaue it was a rare (or at least more rare) that the dozens of flat black and flat white cars being done. Again, as a vinyl shop, my choice was to be with 3M, ..at the time, they only offered 4 matte finishes, they ahev since released a full line of gloss colors and a coule new matte finishes as well. Don't be surprised to see another color in the near future.

Do whatever YOU like, why does it matter if someone else has done it? Obviously, i'm not the only matte green wrapped Subaru, or any car maek for that matter.

I run a vinyl shop. it made easy sense, ...and it's removable.

see above, ...I had the help from Dak Rothberg, another fellow Subaru owner who works more with the commercial wrap side at his family's business. We spent over 30 hours on this car. We basically took the entire car apart, cleaned, prepped, wrapped, and put it back together. Painful? yes, Worth it? definately.

Many people still don't believe it's not paint, until I show then a "cover up" or small wrinkle up close.

I've seen this before, and am interested in trying it. I don't think it would have worked well with the carbon, as it is a bit thicker than the regular colors. But definately something to consider incorperating into the next wrap.

Don't apologize for your opinion, ...the car was built because I liked it that way, and not everone will feel the same. I can understand that. The reason I entered it and do what I do is because I love it, ...and for others to appreciate it.

I went with what was recommended really. This was my second high end build from Custom Car Stereo in Houston, I wasn't all that stasified with the S2000 build (or the sound quality). So, when I went over what I wanted as far as sound, space used, and access (the panel lifts up to allow access to the rear strut tops for adjustments), I pretty much left it in thier hands. I will say these speakers are pretty damn deep as well though, they really had to do a pretty intricate port within the small confines of the enclosure. The sound quality is amazing, I couldn't be happier, ...I just wish it (all the dynamat, enclosure, speakers, amps) didn't weigh so much, ....but then again, I use an 9lb battery. Go figure.

Very nice car, I love it & I love the color combination. I was planning on doing the same combination a long time ago, but with the cost of paint & everything I decided against it. Now, I have a new color combination in mind & hope to be one of the only ones doing it. Thanks to the prices of vinyl should be a lot more money friendly to me. I'll send you a PM about a vinyl color I'm interested in doing to see if you can get it for me. Do you have any plans for any future mods to the car or is it pretty much complete for now?

Pretty much complete for now. I'm entertaining the idea of doing a proper engine build through Cobb Tuning Plano, something powerful, reliable, and expensive. However, I rarely drive the car and see this as a wasted expense, as last year I got myself into the AMG C63, and that's been my "power" car. ....i'm also seriously thinking about re-wrapping it and doing a new wheel set up, ...with no changes to ride height.

If someone would have said a flat green STi could look so good it would have given me pause no doubt - but seeing it - that is one of the nicest looking cars I have seen in a while. Very well done.

The whole car is one big sticker? Too fake for my tastes, and the technical spec is nothing special.

How close is that to my bug? Is the color in pics pretty close to what it looks like in person? I should have done it flat green looking back... Maybe next time...

Glilly, out of curiosity, how much (about) does it cost for these wraps, I have a project jeep that may benifit from this. I love my suby color though (white), so that will stay original.

Thanks,
Kevin
