Default 2008 sti at nate wade

So i test drove an 08 sti at nate wade yesterday i got on the freeway with it and the car wouldn't past 3500 rpm in any gear it would barely get to freeway speeds i got back to the dealership and told the salesman what had happened at that the check engine light was on he said that hadn't checked the car out yet he wasn't sure what was wrong with it or why it was even on the lot which i found strange anyone have any ideas why the car did this or is it just ****ed up? They have two 08 sti there both obp the other one only had 25k miles but apparently it was a lemon law buy back

If the cell is flashing you got a bad miss. One could assume broken ring lands. But.... It's just a guess.

Could be as easy as a coil pack came loose too.

Got to love clueless sales slime balls. "A car you say? I don't sell cars!"

Is this the one that is missing the shift knob and has a hole in the driver's window tint the size of a baseball? I peeked 2 weeks ago at that one. Looked thrashed to me with only 20 something thousand miles.

My assumption was it had been modded and traded in with troubles.....

Why not check out the 2011-2012 WRX's?! Test drive one you'll be surprised.

Those STI's look hammered, I would definitely stay away.

I just picked up an '09 WRX from Mark Miller Southtowne a few weeks ago. I looked at Nate Wades vehicles as well. The vehicles at Mark Miller were all much cleaner and the salesmen and service people were much more knowledgable, just my opinion. Good luck in your search!

It was opposite for me, Mark Miller treated me like s*** and lost my business twice!

They denied my business basically, I went to Nate Wade to buy my first 2011 STI then my 2012 WRX hatch. Both from Nate Wade. They simply gave me a better deal and treated me like they cared.

I bought new so car condition wasn't an issue. On the side note if your budget is either a used 08+ STI or new WRX. Go with the WRX(especially if it's your DD) Just my $0.02

Stay FAR away from any lemon buy back. The car is literally worth about 4 grand. I'm not joking. It probably sold at auction for that... I've seen a couple lemon buy backs appraised recently... I.e a BMW 745i recently appraised for $2k! Poor guy paid over 20k for the car.

the people at mark miller have ignored me every time i went in there. me and my wife went in there was inside sitting in the new STI, looking at everything in it, walked around the whole dealership, and not a single person came up to us. ive been there other times by myself and was treated like i was stupid cause i was "a kid". never, ever going there again. nate wade has always been nice to me. just my .02
/offtopic

anyway, as the stated dont buy a lemon car at all. go drive a new STI, they are actually very nice and sound great with the sports package. drive nice and smooth too
