I am currently sitting on a 2009 Raider but I have taken a liking to the new Aprilia Tuono V4R... change up may be in the works for the summer:

Thats a nice looking bike JC. I like your bike supports. I plan on getting some for my new bike to store it off the wheels this coming fall. But I don't wanna look that far ahead just yet. I want to concentrate on the riding season and not winter prep.

thanks man.. still in the works looks wise, but its coming along..hopefully be done by the time i start riding..

the stands are pretty good quality..i only paid like around 130 shipped for both front and rear. rear could be more stable but it does its job. and also its real handy to have at least a rear stand to clean your chain.. the whole clean, roll bike, then clean again wasnt working out for me haha

what bike did you end up going with?

Gonna post up pics when I take delivery and will say what I got then haha.

can you put a sand bag on the back of the rear stand to stabilize it?

Ah... not much makes me happier then getting a call seeing if I can be at my house in 20 mins for a motorcycle delivery... now I just need to have someone hide the keys so I don't get out riding earlier then I should.

and no... joking. not giving anyone the keys haha

Haha what about a hint? Supersport? Cruiser? Sport touring? Haha

For the stand dont think a sandbag would help thatd just keep it planted down which its fine at, its the part the comes up under the bike that has a lil more side to side play than id like.. It does its job fine. I just wouldnt like hop onto the bike n move around hah

There is wisdom, that no matter how many times we hear it, we are simply not ready for …until we come to it on our own terms.

Glad you are happy Mavrik.

Not saying I won't ever get another cruiser. but with a full year under my belt, I've learned more about whats best for me and the riding I do. The sportbike will be a lot of fun.

I went to the Yamaha site and checked it out. I was surprised they only offered one color combination but it looks phenomenal. I really like the Matte black and gold look.

You should consider frame sliders and a tank pad protector before riding.

I like rhino moto for frame sliders.

Very sound advise. I bought the windscreen and was looking at the tank pad protector. Was thinking of having cca put some 3m on the front of the tank. but thats mostly black plastic for the intake. Will look into the frame sliders.

Haha, I like the analogy. I was riding a CBR1000RR before the raider and it was a blast but I always found myself in race mode driving as fast as possible where ever I was going. Switched to the raider for a little more relaxed ride, 3 years later I'm back in race mode
