Default 16.7 psi boost??

SHould I be worried if I'm only stage 1 and have hit 16.7 psi?

You have no mods other than the CAI? No exhaust? You are running a Cobb stage 1 map? Does Cobb recommend/allow this with their S1 map? How are you measuring your boost, with the AP or an analog gauge? How does the manifold pressure act, does it build smoothly to 16.7 psi and hold, or does it bounce around? Are there any other symptoms that might indicate the ECU isn't happy( power fluctuations, etc).

These are some of the things I would look at.

16.7 does seem high for stage 1.

Take a look at DAM/IAM and let us know what that number is.

If your feeling really adventurous log feed back knock correction, rpm, and calculated load during a 2nd gear pull or 3rd gear if you can find a safe spot. Start at 2800rpm and take it to 5500 or so.

Odds are you are fine but to fix the problem try going to cobbs site and downloading the LWG stage 1 tune. If that doesn't bring the boost down then you need to investigate more.
