Default The BRZ transmissions and driveline: what we know so far

While even the most casual BRZ follower knows of its Subaru FA20 2-liter boxer four with Toyota's D4S dual (direct+port)injection, there is a bit less clarity on its driveline.

After some investigating and Googling, it's fair to say that the BRZ uses the Aisin AZ6 manual transmission, the A960E automatic from the current RWD Lexus IS 250 and the limited-slip diff from either the 1st-gen Lexus IS 300 or its slightly less beefy IS 200 counterpart, and I put together an article for the Kaizen Factor that explores the issue in more detail: http://kaizenfactor.wordpress.com/20...e-know-so-far/

Although much of it may be old news to the diehards and the well informed, there are a couple of bits in there that haven't been fully addressed before, as far as I've read.
