I shall NOT bring my GoPro until 1.) the lens is fixed or 2.) I get a new one... I'll bring My 16 Megapixel point and shoot though!

Have you been down to the Prince William Forest Park? I went down there the other afternoon to check it out (only about 10 minutes from me). There's a "scenic drive" (labelled on a map and on signs around the park) and it would make for a great little video or photos. Open sunrise to sunset - I'd suggest going either very early or a bit late for good light + less people. I was there on a weekday afternoon and hardly saw anyone. Still some leaves on the trees too.
They have an option for spot metering and I know the hero3 had it enabled. Not sure about hero2. And I may not have done color correction on the hero2 video since I did it a year ago and was just getting into editing.

I haven't been down that trail but count me in.

ID be interested to see a comparison between the hd2, hd3 silver, and hd3 black
If someone wants to let me borrow theirs I'd be happy to do it.

. . . . you do?!?

What about Sunday? Morning would be best. I sort of had some plans, but I've also be known to clear my calender for photo opportunities. Weather might be rubbish though. Maybe one evening after work? But, after the storms move through, the trees are going to be pretty bare.

50/50 chance of rain Sunday AM. Then rain until Wednesday, when everything will be soggy.

Ditto.
And, as an added bonus, my neighbor's dead tree didn't fall on my house!

Good morning and Happy Halloween!

Still alive and didn't lose power! Gotta love Prince William County and buried power lines!

Hopefully everyone else (and your cars) are safe and sound!

it was terrible you guys, my Xbox live disconnected... *sniffle*... twice.

i was analyzing all the trees in the parking lot and their fall trajectories like 'where's the safest spot to park'. not a damn scratch on her this morning.

although there WAS smoke coming from the engine bay when i turned her on this morning. coming from the turbo area. small panic attack. pulled over and popped the hood. cant find the source. drove it anyway. everything acted fine. not sure what it was from but it scared the **** out of me.... and im pretty sure it's gone now.

was it just sitting too long (5 days)? could it be that i was running my heater?

Water sitting on the block/turbo and evaporating or you have a small coolant seepage from one of the lines to the expansion tank.

You don't have to go into "panic mode" unless the smoke is blue/black or there are copious amounts of sweet smelling white steam coming from everywhere in the engine bay

Prolly coolant. Look at the top of you expansion tank on the passenger side of the IM, see if there is a white dusty residue on it.

If there is go out and get some worm gear clamps and clamp down all the hoses going into the tank.

The older metal style expansion tanks always seep from the hoses under the factory spring clamps.
