Thanks for the invite guys. I saw you all were meeting at Evil's house. I can't make it this weekend but I wanna try and get out to one of the Thursday meets or something. Do u all ever meet by Potomac Mills or close to that area?

It's about a 15 minute drive from your house.

Anybody know off the top of their head the length of a standard downpipe? I think its in the 46-50" range but I'm not sure.

Anybody have a standard length DP they could measure from flange to flange?

Thanks,
~Evil

Sorry it's been so long, but what were the names of the shops located close to the Woodbridge area?

Started in on my brakes, and after braking two bolts and stripping one I took it to the stealership who wants 2600 to replace both front calipers, an that's not even touching Thea rears

What kills me is I've done 30-40 sets of brakes and ever had a issue

Its not your fault, a lot of people had the same problem.

I believe there is a thread floating around here all about how the front caliper bolts on the STIs like to seize themselves into oblivion

Yeah, I believe it was the hardware used was the issue. Steel bolts + aluminum calipers + not torqued to spec

Here is a fix

http://www.iwsti.com/forums/how-inst...eli-coils.html

I don't know of any 'tuner' shops in Woodbridge, closest would be P Tuning in Manassas but if you are looking for cheap labor they are not the place to do the job.

It IS something I love doing. But the title "go to guy" sounds like it has some responsibility attached to it.

What did you have planned?

Nothing insane planned, just looking to upgrade all the factory speakers. It has just been so long since I did any audio stuff I dont want to mess anything up. Would also like some input on what speakers to go with. Im running an avic 930 as my only "mod".
