Default Newbie: needs hell with Access Port v1

Hello

Im VERY new to this so please bare with me.I just recently purchased a 2002 WRX and the previous owner gave me the Access Port with car. The car has been modded. Mods include: Cobb Intake,STI TMIC, STI pink injectors ; Bloch 18G turbo and HKS cat back exhaust.
Planning to pick up the Cobb downpipe.
The previous owner stated all I have to do is flash the ECU with the Access Port and I will see significant HP/Torque gains.

My question is, can I use the Access Port even though I have all those after market parts? This all new to me so any help/info would be great.

Thank you

Hmmm... If he has all those mods doesn't he already have a non stock DP? As for the AP you need the EXACT mods to flash an OTS map on there, what map does he have on there right now?

Before I bought the car he removed and sold the non stock downpipe (go figure) and he also said he "un-married" the AP and put it back to factory settings.

What does OTS mean?

OTS means, off the shelf.. He un-married the AP? That's strange, as then the car shouldn't even be able to run with the Pink injectors and 18G turbo...

With the exception of the turbo, it sounds like you could have an OTS stage 2.5 or 3 map? If the AP was unmarried the car would probably start, but not run very well. Go to cobb tuning support and get a copy of the appm from http://www.cobbtuning.com/info/?ID=3061 and see what's on you AP. If you didn't get the serial cable, you should also be able to plug the AP into the car and just scroll thru the loaded tunes and write down what you see.

Yes. If it's already married, plug it into your car and one of the options will show you the base map loaded to your car. This will not show you the realtime map if there is one that could also be loaded. If it's not married, you'll be prompted to select a base map to load.
