Cool GT-R Pictures at Ziptie Dynowerks

On Friday (2/17/2012), we had the opportunity to have a GT-R tuned at our facility by none other than Tim Bailey, from Cobb Surgeline. If you don't know who Tim Bailey is, he is a tuner from Cobb that figured out most of the stuff for the GT-R (as well as tuning LIC Motorsports car at GTA). He really knows his stuff (after all, he is a legit doctor). He showed Alex a few tricks to GT-R tuning using speed density.

I will post up dyno graphs, pictures and videos as I get them. Hope you guys enjoy.

Same Car? Sure sounded pissed off when he would launch it.

Yep. Same car. We were up until 10:30 the night before finishing up the tune so he could run it in WinterX.

Looked like he was just learning to drive it? It's always good to see people actually trying to improve their driving skills.

Ya. He hadn't driven it with that much power, and I think that was the first time he was tracking it

Haha that's a hell of a car to learn how to drive aggressively on. Actually, i guess AWD and all of those driver's aides to keep you from killing yourself, or worse, the car, would make it a pretty good car to go fast in. Cool to see people using them for what they're for, nonetheless.

It's great to see him tracking it. There's too many people around with high horsepower cars that only do "dyno racing".

I really love/hate the GTR. I think it looks like pure ****. However, I love Nissan cars and the engineering behind this is amazing.

Maybe I should see if I can find a wrecked GTR and swap it into my 280z haha.

It has the AMS Alpha 9 Kit on a stock motor (hense why it didn't make more power). It was only tuned up to 21 psi (the graphs are wrong, our sensor was 5 psi off). Those turbos are good to over 28psi
