I replaced my car battery. That one charge pipe that was in the way was fun to deal with.

washed her inside and out after putting on a set of eibach sway bars. Holy crap those bars make a huge difference. even some of the interior noises went away after stiffening her up!

Too much to remember. Have been in the garage all weekend. Re-installed power steering pump, alternator, AC compressor, radiator hoses, and belts. Got the engine wiring harness back in the car and hooked it all up. With the help of some colorful vocabulary and repeated test-fitting of the intake manifold, finally got it in place. Figured out a new mounting place for the FPR after realizing that it was preventing the hood from closing all the way. Installed the turbo inlet. Started cleaning up the vacuum lines. Torqued down most of the fuel rail stuff. Cussed at the injectors/rails for making it impossible for the injector harnesses to clip into place. Lengthened/spliced wires for the speed density sensors (MAP and IAT). Heading back for more...

Picked it up yesterday from AWD Tuning fresh from a 6MT swap out. Drove it back home today. Stall count is still in single digits! Last manual car I drove was a POS mitsu van @ Ali Al Salem air base last year, the clutch in the Saabaru is a bit heavier and is going to take some getting used to.
Also washed it today

Calling it a night. Ran all the vacuum lines and got the vacuum distribution block mounted, got all the hoses & wires underneath the intake manifold settled in place, and completely finished everything fuel-related under the hood. I think all that's left is the last couple of FMIC pipes, torquing down the intake mani, finishing the air/oil separator hoses, re-installing the coolant reservoir and intake, and triple-checking everything.

Are you using the long tube or short tube n/a intake manifold and is it reversed? I'm working on my long runner n/a intake manifold and wondering what else I need. I know fuel rails and thermal spacers. Not sure how thick the spacers need to be. Also any modification to the TB?

it will. all the research i've done says that AWD no sway to sways bolts up. the only reason FWD no sways to sways doesn't work is the big ass bolt isnt the same from FWD to AWD.

Mine is a long runner, not reversed.
You're installing this on an 05 WRX, right? If so, you won't need massive spacers, since you don't have AVCS. I needed 19mm spacers and still had to alter one of the AVCS brackets. I would recommend getting 8mm spacers, to be safe. They're readily available, and if you end up needing a different size, you can just sell them on here.
Fuel rails, injectors. I'm using Outfront Motorsports rails. They're well-made and mate right up to the NA manifold.
Make sure that the throttle body port on the manifold is meant for your type of throttle body (DBC or DBW). If not, then you'll probably need a spacer.
That's all I can think of right now, aside from grinding down the unnecessary crap on the manifold, like the EGR valve, and plugging whatever ports you don't need.
Feel free to message me with any questions. I have more info and pics in my build thread:
