Interesting, I always wave or flash the lights and usually get one back.
Here's a hint- if it doesn't have a hood scoop, don't bother-

I get waves majority of the time in the city. I always look for a scoop. I feel bad when I get a honk or something and it's to late cuz I wasn't paying attention

Lol the scoop is the first thing I look for but once in a blue moon I'll get a wave or flash back. Maybe it's just my luck but once I hit Nassau County I usually get a wave or 2. Once I was cruising with WRB 2016 on the Southren state. But ya sometimes I'll see on with a scooby give a wave and turns out its a old lady looking at me like wtf stranger danger lol

The thing with living here in the city is that there is this "everyone is out to get you" mentality. No one is comfortable in there own skin, we have to try to out do or be kooler than the next guy.

Subaru wave is definitely dyeing off. And as for spotted threads - they are not allowed, maybe if they are very general in location??

I usually run into others on the LIE and I usually do the honk and wave but I have noticed not many people wave back. I usually wave at any Subaru that appears to be modded. If I can hear your car I'm going to wave.

99% of the time I get waves from pre-08 WRXs and STis. Anything after that, it's about 50-75%, 2 or 3 out of 4 will wave or honk back.

Don't forget there are tough guys in NYC and surrounding areas that think their car is better than yours so you won't get waves back from them. Just smile or shake your head and move on.
