thanks. I had a very strong weekend, won the rookie school and on sunday won the rookie stock class and had the lowest Rookie PAX time. The only other rookie to beat me in raw time (~1.5 sec) was a stage 2 '11 STI but the pax killed him. The stock '11 WRX is a PAX monster, has close to the same performance as an STI (for non-professionals) but has a much better PAX.

Ken has Koni shocks and 265 wide star specs, not I. I bought 235 star specs today, should get them installed on my spare set of '11 OEM wheels on Thur/Fri. I still believe that Ken's car is slightly faster (with same skill driver)

I'm heading to Devens on 4/7, so the sticky tires will come in handy. I am going up against a GTR and an x-prepared 'vette..... lord help me!

I know its a "stock" class, but any mods?

Forgive my negligence, I don't know much about auto-x.

I have a whiteline rear sway set to 22 mm (stock WRX is 16 mm) and my noise-maker, a nameless performance axle back. In a few days, I'll have stock sized (235/45-17) Dunlop star spec tires that I'll use only for racing.

I can get lighter wheels but to stay in stock, the offset can't be more than like 15mm from stock, which of course the RPF1 are (grrr).

I might be following this trend as well. If I make my move to Florida this Fall, I'll be going from this:

to this:

Since I don't want AWD or a car payment in Florida, I'll sell the WRX and get an LS1 Trans Am/Camaro.

No car payment + RWD + Florida =

I miss the GT500 everyday...that notch was SUCH a sleeper though. weighed absolutely nothing had header, exhaust, e cam (moderate lift), rpm performer intake manifold, gt40 heads, timing kit, built transmission, drag shot suspension, 275 ET streets with skinny's up front and a 200 wet shot.

Thing hauled ass and has launched on the street better than any subaru i've EVER been in.

I'd love me some WS6 action, but other then the vette, i'm not a huge fan of chevys/gm.

I'm definitely sold on the turbo stang. Once I get all tuned and ready to go with my STi, I'm going to throw it up on modified car trader. Going to see what I can find. I just want to pick the front wheels off the ground on my next car. My buddy's got a knotch back that does it. lmao Just sick.

Thanks Marco. As much as I'll miss my STI, its just time to move on.

Turbo fox body should be fun. I'm less concerned about going fast, and more concerned about looking good doing it

Oh yeah... you know how I roll.

Already got:
-color matched reflectors for the front bumper
-Gloss black front grilles
-AG 359's in 19x10 +25 offset

Might eventually do a blower if I can make it work. The Supercharger kits are about $15k, but will include everything and get you to 500+whp pretty quick

Yeah, it's not cheap. At the same time though, it will net you trap speeds in the 129-130 range. Look at what it would cost to get a Subaru running those traps. Probably close to the same price with the built block, turbo, fuel system etc. The supercharge kits include all of the fuel system upgrades, new intake plenum, and a lot more.

Going to start with the intake, exhaust, and tune. That alone is probably $4k, and will net 400whp/300wtq and traps around 117-118

met up with mikey yesterday to help me out with a cold start issue, ended up airboying the car...car did 400 on the 17 inch rim setup =D...mikey said in reality its about 420-430 on the airboy if the 18" rim input worked, which would be about 470 on the shops dyno.

i iz happy.
