Haven't seen Tob in a long time.

Want some quick thoughts on the following options on a cheap turbo car. Just something fun but practical.

1-an '02-'03 wrx wagon 5 speed with ~150k miles with good maintenance and mild stage2 mods for around $5k

Or

2-an '04-'05 FXT with ~180k miles always bone stock and good maintenance history for ~$4k.

Thoughts?

Both will require basic maintenance like pads and rotors and suspension but big maintenance of timing belt etc has been done.

bruce i think FXT because if anything its a) newer and b) reselling it will appeal to more people especially older people and not teenage punks. also an FXT i think is just more fun to mod and its different. plus the interior is a bit better. as long as its manual i say FXT.

buy my ****

[quote=tirkish;38455551]Seriously, Feak-boy... let me enlighten you, since you are clearly too soporific to understand the basics.

There is a modicum of tact expected of all new members of this thread. Most n00bs introduce themselves appropriately first and foremost, take on initial hazing like an adult from long-term members (and with some semblance of humility) and, therefore, gain respect.

However in your case, you pop up in here out of nowhere (not unlike an HPV wart on Camer's phallus) and add nothing of substance or whit to our little corner of the web.

Of course, your brilliant response will likely be to, once again, post the same gtfo gif.

You can thank yourself for the gtfo gifs, that had tremendous substance when you posted it.

feakara1, when you go to a party and you walk into a room full of people that all know each other, do you...

1. Walk around and politely introduce yourself? Tell people about yourself?
2. Walk in, act like a tool, beg for attention and wonder why no one take you seriously?

Yes, this is the internets and it a free country, but everyone knows each other here and we're all friends on some level. There's also a lot of Subaru and automotive knowledge here. We don't need someone to come in and act like they know a lot and be a complete pain in the ass.

Play nice and everyone will be your friend. Act like a d!ck and you'll be treated accordingly.

btw: my winter tires are on my car. I put them on before the nor'easter and I'm glad I did. I had to pick up my son that afternoon. Those tires made all the difference in the world that evening. I don't play around or compromise with my son's safety ever. If the temperatures warm up, I can deal with driving around on winter tires for a few weeks. So you can take your narrow-minded comment about it's too early for winter tires statement and shove it where it's dark and the mushrooms grow.

My attempt to get this chat away from Feakara1 and his love of that gif....

Are you guys having a hard time finding 93 octane? Better chance of hitting the lotto than finding 93 at a local station here on the island.

Been struggling in Rockland county up until about a day ago. I hear the island is really bad.

We need to get the old school guys posting again. The egans, jay white-rs, johhny vapors, alan, you guys know.
