Hows it going guys..I'm new to the subie world and I have tons of questions that I hope u guys can help me with. Since I got my car 1 month ago I've been reading lots of forums trying to figure these damn cars out. There is so much crap involved with adding aftermarket parts to this car. One of the first questions I have is if the cobb access port is one of the first mods I should get? Like I have said I have read about these but still don't really understand what kind of tuning it's capable of doing besides the maps u download from the website. The only mods I want to do to the car are the intake downpipe and catbackexhaust. After installing these parts I just want the car to stay reliable since it is my daily driver. Sorry for all the question and hope maybe some of u guys can help a brotha out! Thanks for ur time.. Oh yea and by the way I have an 11 wrx sedan

Starting with engine management is perfect. As far as Cobb, I'm not personally a fan but they are effective. Welcome!

I prefer opensource/romraider but I do my own tuning. For ease of use you can't beat Cobb though.

A more complete answer would be that you install parts in "waves" so to speak. Group parts together that complement each other being sure not to mix intake changes with fueling changing as these both affect AFR and make tuning much more difficult. The same applies to suspension parts that affect alignment, always get one after installing these cause tires ain't cheap.
The best thing you can do is sets goals, figure out how to achieve them, them find the parts that will get you there. And remember that all cars are 2 of 3 things: Fast, Reliable, Cheap. You can only have 2 of these, you choose. |

All those parts can be installed together without problem.

Hi, guys. I'm new to this forum. I've been tinkering with my '02 WRX for a few years now and figured I should find a group so that I have folks to chat with who actually know what I'm talking about, and hopefully know a lot more than I do about it.
Btw, is the rediculously tiny profile pic and no custom avatar pic something that I'll be able to change after posting a certain amount? |

So, is this a good place to look for info about get-togethers?
Was gonna do a little work on Treasure (my WRX) today, but it's way too hot out there. |
