Same bit near my passenger dash it rattles like crazy when its cold. Especially in the am.

Gotta say tthat if subaru had a downside is that constriction is not the best. The civic never made these rattles from everywhere. But you can't have your cake and eat it too.

you also didn't change to a much deeper, bass-ier exhaust in the civic which is a cause of a lot of rattles, atleast in my case my exhaust makes everything rattle...

No The rattle isn't from the downpipe, it's from the road. True, but I have several friends with much louder exhausts on scions and si's no rattle.

Yes the downside is anyone can purchase an econo-box

If it bothers you that much, you can take apart your interior and put it back together with no rattles. Personally, I embrace it

Also, does anyone want to help me out with my brake pad install? I want to do it today.

I've noticed that it's not just a subtle rattle, its a really loud obnoxious one. Thing is it only happens when it's really cold out and I guess the dash is harder than usual.

Yeah when I get oil change at the end of this term, I'll let AZP check the rattle from the heat shield (99% sure it's that, happens upon deceleration).

As far as tuning. It depends how far you're willing tovrravel and what youre looking to do. Most of us in this thread swear by EFI LOGICS. they are about 2 hrs away in Connecticut, and most of us are tuned by them.

However this area is rich with great shops. There is Akuma motorsports in woodbridge, precision tuning in brick, and sti mikey who can tune you at akuma, or road tune you where you want. Like I said do some research to decide where you want to go, but here, in this thread, most will recommend efi logics.

As far as alignment AZP INSTALLS just finally got their alignment rack squared away so give them a ring, akuma motorsports also does race spec alignments and corner balancing. There is also a shop in fairfield called euro tire but they are a hike and cost a fortune. I say pm azp installs. They are a vendor, very local and very affordable.

Cheers.
thanks for the detailed response man. I'm not looking to track it much yet as the reason I even have the car is a spun rod bearing on my rsx type s which is getting fixed then sold.

They have utec experience? I know it was tuned in houston and the ecu was then locked so I couldnt make any adjustments via hyperterminal if needed.

Ill do some research on EFI Logics and azp.

thanks

Oh and use convential 5w30. Valvoline has a turbo specific oil, and I also like Pennzoil.
+1

I did the same as well. Lots of engine braking and varying the rpm.

Welcome to the world of modding. I'll check it out tomorrow. The more you do, the more that can go wrong.
