Update!

Wonderful news. Brought it to the dealership I bought it from for the second time regarding the same boost leak concern. The first time I brought it in, they didn't even perform a leak test before telling me "there's no leaks." I watched the "master tech" the entire time, and saw him do no such thing. (I brought it in for two leaking tires, too..which he did plug & replace a valve stem)

Today, he took the car to the back of the shop. I was unable to watch him through the lounge's window because of this. I wait an hour and a half, and get called to speak with the service writer. He says the "master tech" smoke tested it, and found nothing.

I bring it to Akuma, and smoke pours out of the MAF sensor, BOV, and 3 different couplers on the intercooler piping. We then proceed to tune it, and red flags are thrown, pointing in the direction of a ringland possibly being on it's way out.

This would make sense in why the previous owner would put all that money into it and then sell it at 35k miles.

I went back to the dealership after Akuma, showing them paperwork stating this thing has the problems it does. I also let them know that it failed MV inspection this morning, after them guarenteeing it to pass and me sitting on line for an hour.

I walked in and said that I wanted my money refunded and them to take the car back, or they would be meeting my lawyer. The one guy that was listening in on my converstaion with his buddy simply laughed at me.

I was told to expect a phone call from the used cars manager tomorrow, while I'm at work, to discuss this further. I can't wait to spend yet another day of mine struggling to deal with this bull****.

Little do they know..my father is one of the top vascular surgeons on the east coast, and has an equally great lawyer. I'm not just the 21 year old dude walking in with a Snap-On hoodie covered in stains and most likely talking out of my ass like they think!

uh oh! and yeah you can easily sue them for breach of warranty. the car did not work as stated, etc etc.

honestly, if you can ditch this car, do it and pick up something UNMODDED and clean. while this is nice, seems like it was someone elses project.

Yeah, I was just overly excited...A modded WRX was perfect for me in my eyes, especially with such low mileage.

I think, despite this experience being a bad one and it shouldn't affect my opinion on FI as a whole, that it's safe to say I'll be getting into another Honda.

If buying outright, a civic coupe. If I get into another loan...a pre-2012 SI or an s2k.

Yep never buy a modded car. That's a big red flag. Don't know what corners were cut. Unmolested is the way to go. Check out bridgewater Acura. They got a few more S2000s in stock. Tell them Eddy referred you. The managers name is Mike.

Just ran a compression test..125 on both left side cylinders (when standing in front of car facing motor) and 130 and 135 on the other two. Spark plugs were shot, cleaned them with a plug tuner.

Uploaded the map the car came with, gonna watch the injector duties after work.

The number aren't that bad. Less than 25% of each other. Did you check the gap of the plugs just in case?
