I believe i had a bad oil pump if possible. Oil starvation led to severe head damage and spun rods.. fully built element tuning or motion labs long block underway

Well its official, I should have it tomorrow. 05 C6 Corvette with 5.5k miles. Monterey red metallic paint with 2-tone ebony and cashmere interior (only one in the country with this color combination for this year). Glass roof, 3LT equipment package, Z51 suspension and brake package, 6 speed manual, heads up display, push button start and fully loaded. Only mods are custom made seat covers, laser cut floor mats, color matched door handles and dealer installed Corsa exhaust.

Hum maybe why it always spun over slow. Did you pack the oil pump? install the oil pick up seal? gotta be a sign of the issue.

Try the maxwell power 2.3L de stroker I hear good thing's. Like long life span and spinning to 9k + rpms all day. perfect for a PT67 or bigger turbo. That's my next move if/when it comes back apart.

Ray congratulations man I wanna see it. YOu to Steve is that the twin turbo bmw?

pcv will fill up from any blow by it developed. If your oil pump was the problem you will know take it apart pump most likely won't spin over by hand or will be hard to spin.

If it went bad everything will have worn pre maturely and you have what you mention lot's of blow by and and scored cams mains rod bearings. ****y situation man. I wish you luck with the motion lab stuff. check everything twice. Pack the oil pump with oil pre fill the oil filter. flip the engine and fill the oil pickup with oil.

then prime the engine like you normally would. I find this to work best and oil pressure is instant on start up..

Are you indicating the motion labs is no good? Please advise if so brother. I will triple check everything and all will be packed and primed. My cams and heads are scored, definite oil starvation. You know anyone interested in my gt3071r? Going bigger.

Nope billy just a 3l straight six. The 335 has the twin turbo motor. Lots of issues with the o7/08 with fuel pumps that's why I stayed away plus the pricetag.

Oh no I haven't herd anything bad. Haven't herd much about them actually. What cam's are you gonna go with? I still have my stock one's I'd sell you for cheap if you need stock cams.

How much are they building you the block for? Give me a call eight four five 6164695

Idk anyone as far as the turbo goes. I could get you a deal on a turbo and some ID1000cc injectors.

Steve: Not to shabby man. The inline 6 is a good engine. That motor have a VANOS like the m3?

You sound like Billy now... lol... And after you have the 35r, you'll want to go bigger... But if you do a different turbo setup, are you going to rotate it?

Hey guys,
Anyone here have a GR STi or LGT with aftermarket exhaust? I'm looking to test fit a dual canister exhaust on the Tribeca and want to see how much work it will be before really searching for a deal on a used setup. It's going to need a custom mid to y-pipe to canisters, so I am really only looking for canisters to see how they fit in there.
Let me know,
Thanks
Bruce

And I'll be at WBM again this year. Probably drive out the morning of.

Yes, I would like to know this as well.

Congrats Ray and Steve on your new cars (((Although by the time Steve reads this he will probably already have something else ))).

See you all tomorrow night!
