Drove it to work... Made some audio system adjustments... Rubbed all up on it for a few minutes... Stared at it. It was a good morning.

Apples to oranges but for what it's worth.

Wife has a 2007 civic si. Mobil 1 5w30 the last oil change was a 10k mile run, black stone said, take it to 12k miles next time, everything looked great. I just did the 12k mile oil change last weekend, waiting for a reply. Guessing it's going to be peachy.

As far as a turbo car goes 0w40 euro blend is where it's at.

I use rosella in the subi....

I threatened to trade her for a 335i, but didn't.
Got a damn good sale on Castrol 0w-30 and a one of the new fram extreme or whatever filters, so I changed the oil.
Also planning a turbo upgrade in February. FP green most likely, maybe switch to top feed too.

I've never owned a Civic SI, but I always hear the Honda crowd raving about Royal Purple -- any thought about that?

In other news, because this is the last "good weekend" probably for a while in terms of temperature.. finally got around to painting sideskirts, repainting a Spec C roof scoop, and refinishing some plastidip issues. Pics when it's done I suppose.

Taking a break from some plastidip fun, and eating some leftover alfredo. I see a black something in the sauce and think ohhhhh it must just be a herb or something I'll eat that. Then I look at hand as I enjoy said biteful to see flaky black plastidip. Ate that **** anyway, tasted good as hell

I parked the Subie around 3pm Friday evening after I got home from work/getting my hair cut. Didn't go anywhere in the evening.

Yesterday stayed around the house. Wife had to go to a baby shower in the afternoon. I didn't go anywhere. Last night we took the wife's car to run some errands/eat dinner so did not take the Subie.

I am going to Ikea in a bit but borrowing my dad's truck since the stuff I am going to get won't fit in the Subie so the Subie will remained parked

I am off work tomorrow and driving out to IAG for an oil change tho

I feel you there. I've driven the Subaru .5 miles all weekend since Friday at 3. It will get another 4 today as I gotta go get gas for the next 2 weeks.

I don't think its the Honda crowd but everyone who feels elite to brag about using Royal Purple says its the chit, it cost a lot so it must be! Chances are they've never sent it off to see how its holding up.

I've never used it before because I'm too cheap, plus I see no reason to when Blackstone has shown great reports for Mobil 1 as with Rotella.

I replaced a ripped tie rod boot, and swapped out my old trailing arms, for some oem ones with group N bushings already pressed in.

Now I'm sitting at the alignment shop waiting for my car to be done.

Did you swap out the tie rod end or just the boot? I've never seen boot replacements before, although I've never looked for them.

Just replaced my tie rod end about a month ago. I think it was $44? from Subaru.

My tie rod ends are only 2 months old or so, and I used Moog tie rod ends. So I didn't replace the tie rod, just the boot.

Took me 15 min. Hardest part was getting the old boot off.
