Please, please do a proper retrofit! I use to just throw HID's into a regular housing and not care cause I had them aimed down... But now that I've done it correctly and used all factory equipment with the proper wiring it has made a huge difference in light output and I don't blind people or get ugly glare/hotspots...

Got rid of these pieces of crap

Can't believe that Subaru put these weak ass things on the cars in the first place.

I actually feel like I'm steering the car now.

I don't know why I forgot about fender braces. Back on the mental "to buy list" they go!

The install for the braces alone was super easy, now getting to them on a wagon is a completely different story.

Had to remove the bumper, headlights, front half of the side skirts and the fenders just to get to the OEM braces.

The sedan is much easier with its flared fenders.

Took me about 2 hours in the cold and dark, probably would've gone much faster with an extra set of hands and some daylight.

Dang man, it never stops with your car. Don't see any massive paint scraping so hopefully they can just pull it out.

I installed these:

Way beefier than the stock ones. I had the Kartboy ones for a little bit, but I didn't like how they don't sit perpendicular and put a lot of stress on the bushings. Anyways, I like how they look, and the best part is that they are only $50 on Amazon. That's cheaper than I could make some, especially with zerk fittings.

On a 02-07 WRX? I believe I need to grab me a set of these as they are beefy and regreasable

I got me some OEM ballast and OEM bulbs to replace the plug and play kit I got when installing my STi headlights... I must say the OE stuff is well worth the money and 100% better looking!!
