I must admit it was a powerful head unit in its time. I loved it.

Only thing is i lost that "sledge hammer" feeling of getting sucked into my seat and scaring my girl friend/passengers. Even my buddy who knows nothing about cars said it felt smoother. And my coworker said it felt smoother (over the cobb stg 1 map) It is definitely faster but it doest feel overwhelming like it did before. I kinda miss that but over all this car definitely hauls major donkey ass. It feels illegal in third gear honestly. I ditched my AP and went with a Open source. (btw that nameless catback is loud as **** and i have a full turbo back and its stupid loud at WOT but almost silent at idle and cruise)

I have a nameless catback and Aq motosports catted bellmouth downpipe and K&N intake. Got my protune done at Moore Automotive with Chris Hoover.

He must have finally gotten better with tuning.

"Stand by for the part out" would certainly make it sound like yes, the damage is real bad.

searched dealers for quotes on ordering a new 2012 SWP base STi hatchback.
im happy with the quote i was able to get for $34,599. had to work to get it as most dealers started at the $36,000 point. i managed to get 3 dealers to agree to my price.

now its just a matter of talking it over with the wife and putting an order in.

edit: got a better price of $34,133 including all fees
