I wanted to install my lamin-x gun smoke overlays, but it says cold weather is bad for install. Anyone have a heated garage in the Hampton roads area they want to let me use??

Heat the headlights or taillights with a heat gun or blower. Heat the overlays too. That should do the trick. Even on warm weather you need to heat the overlays. So on cold weather the difference is to heat the housing.

Couldn't find my code reader, so I woke up extra early to go to an Advance to get my code scanned and it turns out my port isn't working.

Wtf?

Guess all I can do is reset the ecu and see if it comes back......
Edit: maybe the code reader he was using was bad, although I asked him to try another code reader, and he said "no it couldn't be my code reader, your port is bad, I would get that checked out right away!"

That's why I only go to advance for my oil filter and that's it.

No, the cig lighter works.

I posted over in the 'electrical and lighting' section in a thread someone else started having the same issue.

I'm going to try another scan tool first.

Finally got around to putting the front and rear shifter bushings in the STI. Got some help from a buddy and we ended up only having to leave the house for tools once. So I call it a victory.

Changed my plugs and wires in a Exxon gas station parking spot because somehow my engine ejected a spark plug and blew the wires cap to pieces.

Anyone ever heard of this happening cause it's new to me?

maybe if the spark plug wasnt tightwn correctly and then it loosen and wiggled free. all the compression from that cyclinder maybe launched the spark plug after it was loose enougj. idk wild guess

Cross threaded? Maybe the spark plug had bad threads? A number of things could cause that.

What did I do to my car today? Sold it.
