My car is officially dead. I was driving to the ups store to return a clutch. It started bucking and knocking hardcore. I was able to turn around and head back home but she died about a 1/2 mile out.
I was able to push her about a 1/4 mile before my legs started giving out. Someone stopped and helped me push it the rest of the way. Now the v8 needs to hurry up and get here. ![]() I said I was going to drive her until she died. ![]() |

The bottom end was already done. Now it is def done. The heads should still be good. I am not sure what I want to do with motor though. Everything else will be sold to help pay for this swap. It didn't come today like I was told. I guess ups didn't want to mess with it yet. Hopefully it comes in tomorrow.

**** yeah. I can use any help that I can get. I would like this girl back on the road as soon as possible. Just hit me up whenever you want to come over. I will be sleeping until about 1500-1600 today but after that I will be working on the car almost all night.
Alex, those look sweet. So how is it?? ![]() |

Mustang vs. Dynojet, eddy current vs. inertia (not counting SAE correction factors--those should only be used for N/A engines). Its just a difference of how the power is measured. I have two dyno charts from my old car; 305whp on a Dynojet and 310whp on a Mustang dyno. The 305whp map was produced by an EJ205 with a VF34 at 22psi. The 310whp map was produced by an EJ205/257 hybrid with an FP Green at 22psi.
Moral of the story: numbers are just numbers. That was the biggest 5whp jump my butt dyno has ever felt. |
