Concluded after 16 hours of troubleshooting that an injector is stuck open, but too tired to bother doing any more work. Dropped it off at a halfway trustworthy garage.

What injectors are you using? I *may* have a spare somewhere you can have.

So my Memphis Mojo M3 blew...****. Got an Alpine Type S to fill its place for now. It's not bad

Went to put on my wrapped and Pnp'd exhaust parts and the turbo flange is completely different along with the header to uppipe flange. Now I have a header and upipe that looks tits and I can't use it.

I did change the spark plugs. The easiest spark plug change ever.

I didn't get my front axles or the trans crossmembers. I didn't realize that the trans crossmembers weren't there until an hour ago, I will call the company first thing in the am. They did say that they will ship out the axles right away.

It's JDM, twin scroll.

Correct. This is what the pnp flange looks like, way too many stids and diferent shape over all.

The one I have currently on the motor only has four studs and a much different shape. I am not sure what this one is for, a twinscroll vf38 off the legacy? Not sure. At least the custom downpipe works.

Went to my local Subaru to return my OEM Main shaft and 1st/2nd driven gears, as the first step towards gearing up for a full Andrewtech tranny rebuild on my blown 05 WRX Tranny....

Ha, it won't be anytime soon. I just want my car back on the road first.
Nice looking setup Matt.

Got invidia headers wrapped and installed on my 2012 STI a few days ago, just now getting around to posting pics. Huge difference to the engine sound, cruising at 55+ is much quieter than the stock headers. Throttle response is a bit slower, but the old butt dyno likes the results. Still running the off-the-shelf tune from Cobb, we'll see what a custom tune brings after the next round of mods.

^ how was the install? My one-piece headers really kicked my ass trying to install, so I had to abort and use the stock for a while longer. Did you have to jack the engine? Jackstands or lift?

It was a lengthy install. Had to remove the bottom bolt on both motor mounts and jack several inches from under the oil pan. I had the car on ramps, so space was tight for maneuvering the headers. It was necessary to jack and unjack the car several times in order to swing the headers into place because initially the turbo flange needed to be routed in upside down to fit.

A word of advice... If you use fiberglass header wrap, wrap the headers in saran or plastic wrap while maneuvering onto the car, your hands and arms will thank you.

You could just go with the titanium wrap and be dne. No wetting, no spraying afterwards, no itching.

Here is what I did today!!!!

The motor and trans are in. Just need to the rear diff stuff and front axles. The vacuum lines and electronics still need to be hooked up as well. This close to having a running car again!!

congrats imnorobo!

I installed smycluster, whiteneedle boost gauge and aem cai. tomorrow nothing, but thurs im plan on buying a perrin strut and blacking out my tail lights =] than I am done for awhile because ocawd is coming.

btw, omfg that boost gauge is a pain to get through the firewall of the 2011 sti models... and omg i hate taking off the tmic, but i figured out a easy way to do it now... so if anyone needs to install a boost gauge, im a pro at the 2011 model now. =p

Questions and help needed.

Ok when i installed my prosport boost gauge, it seems it reads accurately vs cobb ap monitor except it idles at -20 when cobb ap says -10. When boost is applied, it matches accurately otherwise... is this usual?

Ok second question, i installed aem cai... and i tuned it... i was stage 1 stock prior... even though the cobb dyno charts show aem with less peak hp and tq, it feels faster.... is this in my head? Next mod will be cobb dp and stg2 with my spt catback, than i am done for a bit... o and yah protune.

Thanks for the help...

The cobb dyno is close but 100% accurate. A butt dyno is the same, you may want to think it feels faster, maybe even sounds different as well which could trick you into thinking the same.

The boost gauge is a direct link to what is going on vs the cobb as well.

In boost both the gauge and AP read in PSI. In vacuum the gauge probably reads in mmHg while the AP is still displaying boost.

i have a small chore list to do :/

brake light, fluid levels, power steering troubleshoot. i may need a new pump, but i really dont wanna go get a new one the fluid may just be low, or the ring might be bad, or the pump might be bad. whatever it is, its gradually failing more and more..

if anyone has seen this problem where within the first 1/2 to full turn (at idle) of the steering wheel you get a sort of resistance and squeal? if i push the revs up a little the problem rights itself, but if i let them go back down to idle it'll squeal again when i try to turn the wheel.
