Dang, that sucks! I've had good luck with the USPS, but that's terrible.

I ended up high priority shipping a new one from Yamaha, got it the next day. I already got a refund for that one from Nevada, so if it does decide to show up someday it will be spare parts. More than likely hand it over to Sonny to make sexyfied.

He is still doing retrofits? I haven't seen him post in a long time. I may have to talk to him about something for me this winter too.

Glad it all worked out in the end for you.

WGMG:

Between FT86Club and NASIOC, the last 3 people I've attempted to PM (either reply to or new message) have had their PM boxes filled all in the last 2 hours.

Josh Cuerdo, clean yo box!

I've been wanting something a bit more intense for headlight HIDs, like 55w and a cleaner line from a higher quality projector. Kind of a bit of an investment, though. I'd rather get yellow HID fogs that I've been looking at and some other projects.

His retrofits are mighty impressive for sure!

Finding out that Kendall bought out the Morrison auto group and deemed that having a Mitsu Tech and parts supplier was non-conducsive to their needs...a week ago. Finding out today that in order to get Mitsu parts, I have to call a dealer in Sea/Tac...BS!...sorry...venting...

The rumors of my demise have been greatly exaggerated. Lol! I still do retrofits. The demand just isn't there because of the availability of cheep rebase HID kits. I'd be happy to help out or do do a retro, guys. Just let me know when you're ready, we'll talk. Just so y'all know I'm probably going to be busy with a business venture in the near future but I'm sure I can find time to sexify some headlights.

Well if only Mitsubishi made something that was actually worth something other than the Weevolution maybe they'd have their own dealership here. I think they couldve gone somewhere with the Ralliart Turbo models they had. It was the WRX of the Mistu side of things. Oh well

Good to hear that the rumor about the horrible LARPing accident wasn't true.

LARPing? What's that? My fights are full contact. In any case, rumors needs must be judged by the lips they come from.

Back on topic, WGMG:
Being told my damaged tire was in stock, then that I would have to wait two weeks for it to get here. Oh well, the studded tires needed to go on anyway.

Turns out the girl who rear ended me on Sunday hasn't paid her insurance in months so now I get to turn it over to my insurance. It will be my first claim, hope my premiums don't go up. :/

They do go up with any claim you make. Then they go back down once enough time has passed (generally 3 years before the price drops, then another 2 after that for it to clear from your history, as I've been told by State Farm years ago). Any time they have to spend money, they get it back from you by raising your rates. This is why insurance is a scam for most people: Pay each month, meet the deductible, pay more for having most of the damage not covered by you because you basically don't want to be inconvenienced with having to pay a substantial repair bill yourself.

You would think you would've already paid off a car with how much money you pay them for each month over the course of your driving experience. And this is why people don't get insurance, because they don't have a car worth saving (in their minds) and if YOU have insurance then you'll be fine.

I was hit by an uninsured driver a few years ago. My premium didn't go up even though I filed a claim. My insurance company (USAA) eventually got the money from the other driver and reimbursed me the deductible, it took them about 8 months though.

Yeah USAA is awesome about that from what I've been told.

Angry

I don't know where else to post this, but people who do road rage are freaking idiots. Just found out that someone I knew was killed this morning in the lower 48 because some careless idiot was pissed off at someone else.

The crazy driver rammed the car he was mad at, and then decided to blow past them in a no passing zone, slamming into the person who I knew - head on at 70+mph, killing her and leaving her 2yo boy without a mom.

Oh that's terrible. I'm sorry for your loss. I hope the Dad or family can step in and provide for the 2yo boy. What a useless tragedy.

Hey, at least you found it. Yet another reason I like doing my own oil changes. You get to put eyes on things yourself and spot potential trouble.

Disappointing experience at Continental yesterday.
Brought my car in to get TPMS calibrated and had to wait around for an hour. And for the last half hour I know it was done because they pulled it back out. And yes, I did have an appointment.
The worst part? They were playing Fox News in the waiting area...
