Having let the car warm for at least 20 minutes to get in it and find a still very frozen shift knob.

Your own fault for getting a metal shift knob. Why not use something that has grip instead of looking cool. Function over form right?

I use a metal Prodrive knob....whats wrong with that? Plenty of function over the stock knob.

It's a Blox 1LB knob, makes for buttery smooth effortless shifts. So yeah, it's not there for looks.

Have you ever used a weighted shifter knob before?

ive got a weighted Blox knob too. I dont have to deal with a frozen knob in the morning but i keep a pair of hobo gloves in the car in case i park outside and it gets cold. can shift eithout freezing my hand and still use my fingers to use my phone.
