After owning a Subaru for almost 3 years I found one thing that really bothers me about them and maybe this is just newer cars in general or I am delusional.

Remember I started out driving cars like my old MR2s. They had plenty of space in the wheels wells for suspension travel. For the vehicles size they had roomy wheel wells.

In this WRX the suspension travel feels limited. Hitting the bump stops doesn't take much effort. The room in the wheel wells and the diameter of the opening them selves seem a bit lacking in comparison to the size of the vehicle. Then when it comes to wheel fitments for proper wheel tire combinations you are pretty limited unless you like being a part of the hella retarded crowd.

Then I look at the BRZ, cant help but notice the amount of room it has in comparison. I cant be the only one who notices this.

It's all in your head man. I did hit the bump stop once on my way up last year, scared the **** out of me.

Glad I am not the only one. I did it on an over sized speed bump. The one on W 26th going towards spinard. its larger than the one before it.

WGMG: Having to cut part of my wheel well liner after the part that is the front underbody protector snaps back and starts rubbing on the tire. All this happening before 6am on the highway.

Why did you cut it? Couldn't you have folded it back into place?

Nope. Was headed to ihop on the seward highway then there was a noise almost like a flat tire but no violent shaking as if it blew. Pulled over and found that jammed back rubbing on the tire.

I would I've but it was bent back and I didn't have any zip ties to hold it in place if I did manage to get it back. Plus this gives me a good reason to get a skid plate . Come on retrac engineering!

Think it was just tucked in and didn't get any plastic rivets when the front bumper was put back on. Fog lights have been out of the car for a long time. It used to have a fmic

Fmic will block the air entering the openings left for the fog lights. Without fog lights or pipe all that air travels into the opening and right onto the fender liner.

It's basic science

So not having plastic rivets aloud it to fly out.

Oh I am for sure. This was in Homer. Parked on the side of a street, back to back with a pickup, and I'm guessing they backed right into my car as they were leaving. I'm hoping that a name pops up soon.

There is rear quarter panel damage there too...

Minding my own business going down dimond after getting my daughter some pull-ups from Walmart , anyhow basically it was some knucklehead kid in his moms Mercedes c430 pulls up next to me and starts pulling the "let's race, blipping the throttle bs" so what do I do but put a few car lengths on him, well he don't want to stop messing with me so at the light the kid lines up next to me , well I'm fed up with the snot nosed little **** so... Well I blew his doors off, yeah I could have handled it better but I was already having a ****ty ass day as it was
