If that's the case I think you'll find it more aggravating having to return to local shops for touch ups for things like tint. Many of which argue with their customers as to what they back on their work and not. You hardly will find this an issue with Cca and any problems are immediately taken care of. No arguments ever from them.

Cca is like any other automotive shop, things come up and can take longer than expected. Can't rush quality. Keep in mind that people like Chris and Andrew are OCD and will do your tint over and over until it's perfect. So if I am saying anything don't let one minor time delay discourage you. Not only is their quality of work top notch, but they're a shop with true passion for the local automotive community. Every shop is slammed busy due to Tanacross at the moment so again things can happen that they just didn't expect.

To me it sounds like you guys are more "friends" with the people that work there. Step outside that relationship and you could probably see where my frustration lies.

Has nothing to do with friendship, outside of their business I have no personal relations with any of their employees. What I do have is extremely high standards and years of experience through various automotive businesses in Anchorage. I also work in maintenance and understand unforseen delays. No one is dismissing your concern, we are merely stating not to be so upset about it and understand why things can happen. It's an extremely busy weekend for any shop right now that's involved in the motorsports community, they're up to their neck on last minute work and preparation.

Honestly if I were to be as sensitive on deadlines I'd be left with literally no one in alaska to take my car to. I understand quality takes time, if I wanted speed I'd take my car to midas, if I want quality I go with others well known for it.

In concerns to tint and clear bra, I'm telling you honestly, 1 to 1, there is not a single shop that compares in their workmanship and warranty. None. Period. Anyone with experience from shops as far as Dr vinyl to shades will tell you this. It's exactly the reason why we support cca so much, they truly give a damn.

You are completely in the right to be upset as a customer as you were promised a certain time and you have to schedule around those deadlines. What I'm trying to suggest is keep an open mind as to why it may have happened. Feel free to express your concern to Chris (in fact I encourage it) and I'm certain he will jump at the opportunity to better your experience the next time you stop by. Every shop can make a mistake.

Cheers bud.

I have to agree with Brian on this one. From day one CCA has given me a great product with tint and vinyl wrap and most importantly, amazing service. Even when my car was delayed last year, they stayed after hours until 1:30am to get my car finished and delivered to me.
I've even had my mirrors rewrapped and tint redone, not by my request, but when Chris noticed there were imperfections at a MEET.

This is definitely one of their peak seasons, and that can be said with almost any store/shop right now in the US.

I sympathize with your frustration, but you definitely pay for the quality, integrity, and support that from CCA.

Lol, I'll stick to my previous statements... Sorry for bringing it up... I'll go back to lurking.

Btw, they did a good job as usual, but their business practice needs a tune up.

If that was the case they would not be receiving praises from 99.999% of their customers.

I mentioned this deal to Andrew and their side of the story was a bit different than the version that is on here. I'm not posting this to start a fight or anything like that. I don't sugar coat anything, if a place sucks, even though most people love it, I'll say it sucks. CCA... top notch.

No worries. He always mad at something, that's why he be lurkin'.

WGMG:

I'm realizing that the length of the highway in connection with the on-ramps are what cause issues with merging here. The entrances and exits are just too convenient for people that need to use them, but for those wanting to skip an exit it's just a paid. Lower 48 highways have spoiled me.

How was it different? I dropped the truck off the night before since I live in the Valley, was told by Andrew I could pick it up at 11am, called at 12 noon to see if it was completed, was told it won't be done till five... Came by at five and it still wasn't done, didnt take delivery till close to six. Trust me, that's what happened.

And if you're not posting to start a fight, why even bring it up... Share the details of the conversation so I can share this thread with them when I have a chance.

I lurk cause the forums went to crap, hardly any knowledge sharing, no real community, the members aren't the same as they used to be. Other OG members can be asked the same question and the answer would be similar.

Perhaps you shoulda pm'd me to ask why I lurk instead of making foolish assumptions.

Btw... Kisses!

I don't like it when someone trash talks a local business that has top notch service and workmanship, not to mention very much supports the local auto sports community.

Not to say that CCA walks on water by any means, but I've never seen crap work come from them.

What I was told is they never promised anything to be ready at lunchtime, that just about every project is a "ready by 5...ish"...to include your vehicle.

Last year they did a bunch of work on my car and I "needed" it done for one of the last AutoX races. In the end I missed the race because the car wasn't done. I was upset about not being able to race but it wasn't the end of the world. I don't know how many times Chris and Andrew apologized. They wanted to just charge for materials for ALL the work they did, which I completely refused. No way would I feel right about two guys working nearly 24hr days for 3-4 days for free!

No need to PM. I interact and observe. You've stated numerous times why you lurk and your disdain for how things are now. You refuse to adjust to the times, I get that. We've all gone over this before in our AKIC group therapy sessions.

My statement still stands: You're always mad at something (mad = upset, dissatisfied and relatively aggressive), so you lurk. The hard part is that you do have good knowledge to share (from what I've gleaned over the years), but you don't want to accept any differing opinion that's thrown your way (publicly) and you bounce, so then we all lose out.

You're mostly negative when you post which is why you don't concern me enough to PM. That's my only real tiff (WGMG) with you and that tiff is also not PM-worthy since it's just something I have to accept about who you are. Just odd that you basically call the rest of us "fanbois" for counter-arguing your issue with CCA and resume lurking because of the differing opinions. No matter. Your truck still looks sexy to me.

They need to invent diet gravy. I love gravy, I'd even pour it on cereal if given the chance People go to Costco and say, "who the hell needs a 5 gallon pail of gravy?".... Me.
