These were the ones i got, probably the same thing, but i got em from this vendor. Cheap, fast and solid (enough)

Me too and I totally agree! After replacing my suspension I can really feel the bars as to where before everything was too cushioned to notice

I reckon it was the Rear Diff race bushings that made my idle cruise louder, but thats probably the only thing i did yesterday that isn't totally awesome....it was either that or the rear diff cross member joints, i dunno. I couldn't do the lockdown bolts tho b/c the threads need to be chased n for the life of me i couldn't find a 12mm x 1.25 tap at my dads . oh and the steering rack bushings but that was b/c it was like 7am n i really didn't want to fight those for an hour or two, especially when i just set an appointment for an alignment. Ill do em soon tho, im hype to feel the results, anybody else did these?

I personally don't mind it but it's hell on the car and anyone riding with you. If they're adjustable set them to a soft setting and see if the offer softer springs.

I love it man. I don't have to worry about cops anymore, and it still sounds excellent. It's not nearly as loud INSIDE the car anymore, but it sounds outstanding outside the car. I've already receive compliments on the new exhaust from complete strangers, which happened with the old setup too. So.. I chalk it up to a general love of the boxer engine noise

Have the two topside strut tower braces, no room for the H brace cause there's a skid plate there instead. Maybe will do the 2 underside mid braces.

Did all my bushings at the same time, really tighten the car major. Great feel. For the $ one of the best mods.

all of em to include lateral links, trailing arms, front control arm, outriggers, diff, group N tophats, motor mounts, trans mount. all except the square steering rack bushing that i wimped on install.

the subframe lockdown bolts were extremely hard turning so didn't install. did not feel right. wonder if they're always that way and time to impact wrench those bitches in?

Ya mark from what I've read, most people have to use a thread chased in there bc of all the crap that built up over the years. A buddy of mine in nc has one imma use bc I couldn't find 12 x 1.25 locally
And that's what's up, sounds like u did maaaaad bushings. I also am slightly fearful for that driver side rack bushing but I read the trick there is all about disconnecting the right things.

That odd when I went to do my botox bolts they went in just fine ever with like 40k of Chicago's finest rust all over her belly.

I'll see if I have a 12x1.25 in my tap and die kit.

aw no worries jimbo, im heading back to NC today n my boy down there had bought one online not too long ago for his kartboy shifter that he mauled on the install.

n yeah i thought mine were just going to go in but when they started to get close they got really tight n i shot some wd40 up there, tried to get a bottle brush up there (no dice) n then shot some compressed air, buuuuuut i reckon there is some caked on stuff. Haaaa, it would seem at some point this car saw some serious off roading b/c there was tons of dirt/mud caked on the bottom of the car n as i pulled the suspension there was tons of dirt/crap falling out of the tophats, it was a MESS!

Perhaps I missed it or it hasn't happened yet, did anyone confirm that they are going to next weeks cars and coffee? I'd love to meet up with some guys and ride up there. Also I have no idea where it is /

Side note:
Anyone interested in a 2011 sti tmic with 4,890 miles on it? Have the clamps and all, just no bpv or gasket.

I ordered an Sti to come in next month. Where do you all recommend taking it for service? This sounds a lot like the VW issues that I had with West Broad and Brown's service departments.

Check the first page, Mark normally updates it, but next week is the monthly subaru meet, there should be a lot of people since it is the first actually warm day of a meet also. Sadly i will be out of town though

chaaaaa, so like i said before Evan, u hook that top mount up for freeeeeeeeee n ill gladly take it off yer hands

Work I did the other night/morning
http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show...&postcount=345

final product

So b/t this exhaust and new suspension...i think imma go to jail. haaaaa, so there is this restaurant right by an on-ramp for the interstate down here and today I dropped it into 2nd right next to it and ripped it on the interstate, right in front of all these families enjoying there fancy dinners

Then there is this wide turn by my apt and when I went around it i dropped it into 2nd and kicked out the back with crazy ease, i wasn't even flooring it till it slid around and then i floored it, jaw dropped until i hit fuel cut ...pretty sure i was in a state of shock. I got home and all i could say was OH MY GOSH OH MY GOSH OH MY GOSH OH MY GOSH OH MY GOSH OH MY GOSH OH MY GOSH OH MY GOSH!!! Seriously, it wasn't that I had never done that before, it was that it had never been so easy, nor so fast. I reckon these new rear diff bushings, coupled with all new suspension really helps lay the power down

Deffinatly need to hit some country roads to test the new setup. Whats the difference between the stock and Group N Tophats, I'd assume Group N is stiffer but anything else?

cha dude, its funny, like im realizing the majority of the drop is all in my head, its THAT subtle. But i reckon that is why it feels tight but not annoying. I agree, some country roads are in order

as far as the tophats, yeah just more rigid so there is less flex, but still some comfort.

So, curious about the top hats, how do they functionally change the ride? I'm still running stockers

Also, looks like I *may* have a few extras for this next Richmond CnC, including an E92 M3
