all I know is when I had my first WRX and ran a BOV on it with just the regular cobb stage 2 tune the car drove like crap compared to it being recirculated.

I'm also slowly getting closer to having the s2000 in a position where it will probably sell fast. Got the wheels swapped for stock yesterday and a bunch of parts sold. Now I just need to get stock suspension back on and put my OEM seat back in and it should be all set. I'm excited about getting into another STI.

so VW owns 49% of Porsche, and today announced it will buy the remaining 51%.

The new agreement, set to be sealed Aug. 1, overcomes those obstacles and lets Volkswagen fold Porsche deeper into its auto making juggernaut of a dozen brands, including luxury marques Audi, Bentley, Lamborghini and Bugatti. With Volkswagen's heft behind it, Porsche is expected to accelerate its transformation from a niche sports car maker into a luxury powerhouse with an ever broader range of nonsports car models.

and

"Porsche is already more or less a VW company," said Ferdinand Dudenhöffer, director of the Center for Automotive Research at the University of Duisburg-Essen, noting the many components and manufacturing capacity Volkswagen already supplies Porsche, such as the chassis of Porsche's Cayenne SUV, which is built at the same Slovakian plant as Volkswagen's Touareg.

ouch...better run out and buy a real one before the change.

Pepboys, autozone, etc all have vacuum hose and T's to make it work. Ive got extra vacuum hose laying around... Paper gaskets don't last as long as the oem ones, true fact.

porsche hasn't made a real porsche since they stopped making air-cooled engines, so i wouldn't be too concerned with the buyout.

Been there done that. Straight cut gears are cool for about 2-3 weeks and then it's really obnoxious. If you insist on doing it only do 1-2 gear. The helical gears will hold 99% of the power the straight cuts will and won't make nearly as much noise. I've had both in my first WRX and you'll be much happier without a crazy loud gearbox.

a bit off topic...

rcvd error code on wife's highlander, knock sensor problems. turns out wire to knock sensor becomes intermittent...car has 200k miles...1st problem ever. dealer wanted $1200 to replace. I bought oem parts for $350. Another $15 for access to toyota's tech info web site, complete shop manuals and how to's for any repair.

have to remove all items from V between the two cylinder banks to get to the sensors. will replace spark plugs at the same time.

but back on topic see you all SAT at Cars n Coffee.

new poll...

how many miles you've driven in how long?
