Default Wife's choice?

My wife is thinking about getting her own project car. The choices are 2002 WRX Auto or 2005 Legacy GT Auto. She only has one hand, so she wants to stay away from a manual. She only plans on do mild mods, mostly visual.

WRX has more aftermarket support for visual mods, but the Legacy will have a bit more pep. If it were me (or my wife), I'd suggest the Legacy.

Look for an Impreza GT. They made them in 2009-10 and are pretty rare. Yes, it does have the older 224hp drivetrain, but it has heated seats, sunroof and non-WRX seats. My modding days are a bit past my time, but this car was a bargain and its fun--enough that my wife doesn't drive her Forester much anymore and takes the GT everywhere.

They're generally low mile cars and can be had much cheaper than a standard WRX.

I'll keep that in mind.

Legacy GT Wagon, Comfortable, Leather is nice, more room then the WRX and most of the time you can get them unmolested. Unless you come across a decent 02/03 from the original or 2nd owner...id go for a leggy for the wifey.
