Remind me to never drink on nights I have to work. Impact guns have never sounded so loud. Hope your New Years celebrations were good.

Anyone have a cluster from an 02 handy, I installed ****ty overlays that I got as a gift they didn't work right, when I went to remove them I popped the speedo needle up and after 2 hours of fighting with it trying to get to get it to work right(and failing) I'm done fighting with it. Hopefully someone can help me out. the car is at 94xxx as well but the mileage isn't my main concern

Anyone have a tactrix 2.0 I could use? I need to temp turn off a CEL until I can source another charcoal canister and wiring. Having no cruise control is annoying.

Odd question, where do you guys get your 93 octane at. I've been poking around town to try and find where has the "freshest"

Also, I've been seeing alot of WRX's driving around, anyone trying to get a meet set up?

the gas around here sucks I think. I've been using sunoco. I was using kwikfill and my car was idling funny on and off. Idk if its connected, seems slightly better with sunoco but it seemed way better with shell vpower I got on LI, but its probably not even the gas.

Shell gas is amazing... but I haven't found anything like it around here. Stay away from kwik-fill, it sucks. Maybe someone else has better input.

As for a meet, I'm down, but seeing a lot of WRX's around and how many show up to meets posted on here are two different things.

yeah usually I try to stay away from generic gas but it was right down the road from me so I got lazy. There are no top tier gas stations around here as far as I know. sunoco seems to be the most legit brand around but idk about it...I wish they still had 94 octance like the used to on LI. There are 2 stations listed as mobil's on the map but they aren't any more :/

I usually use the Hess by the mall since its close to my house, or the Manley's on the parkway by BU, right after I got my car I filled up at the Valero out on 26 in Maine, the car did not like that tank. In Auburn right by my brothers the Fast Track has ethanol free 91, wish we had that down here.

Does it? Not trying to flame, just trying to get answers all I've read(which isn't a ton, mind you) is how nasty ethanol is on motors.

That's because Chevy and volvo use cheap parts. Check out some of the subies on the e85 threads that have been running that for years. There is a REALLY good e85 thread over on iwsti that goes in depth into every aspect of ethanol. Crap for everyone else, awesome for tuners.

And I was talking in terms of horsepower numbers. 91 tunes make Californians cry for our luscious 93.

Can I just run 87 in my car with a bottle of octane booster from autozone?

I'll have to look into those, at this point, I'm more interested in engine longevity over HP/TQ numbers.

Someday when I have money to afford a daily and a toy, my bug eye will become my weekend monster.
