good lord do you log a lot of parameters!

Your idle looks like mine although I never get down to 0 rpm :P. Anyways, I think you're correct, the left tumble voltage reads way to constant to be working. I didn't see anything else that precludes the idle dip. may as well check for vacuum leaks while you're fixing the tgv though. Can't hurt.

If it's really water affecting it then you have a loose connector or wire that's letting it seep in and short. I advise putting the whole car in a waterproof bag; 60% of the time, it works every time

lol I was just logging all that stuff to try to find the issue. I've been looking for vac leaks, I think everything is ok but if I do the tgv delete ill definitely be able to check more thoroughly.

also ordered a couple of these like you said

actually I think maybe ill try getting a spray bottle and misting the engine to see if i can get it to misfire

Just throwing this out there before I post it up for sale.

Im swapping out my 08 LGT Spec-B 6spd tranny with sti front lsd in the forester.

Im putting in a 07 sti 6spd in the next week or so.

Not giving it away, but Ill try to hook it up.. If anyone is interested in the swap I have a OEM clutch/flywheel, ACT 6puck sprung clutch/streetlight flywheel, shifter/linkage/kartboy bushings, R160 in proper 3.54FD for the specB tranny, Drive shaft, halfshafts, starter, etc etc

If anyone might be interested in the tranny or the whole swap pm me.

As in boost leak testing like you think you have a vacuum line loose or as in you want a compression/leakdown of the motor itself cause you think you've lost compression?

What motor and tranny mounts did you go with?

Thinking about getting the kartboy pitch stop, STI tranny mount 5mt, and STI groupN right and left engine mounts.also need to replace the tranny fluid with a cocktail or somthing.. starting to notice a grind when shifting into 5th I don't drive it really hard or anything so hoping replacing the fluid will help.
As for the leak down test.. My A/F Learning 1 Gets pretty high on the Access port when cruising somtimes around 5.5..always goes to 0 at WOT so maybe I'm just being paranoid and no signs of really over or under boosting

Well Im not sure what your thoughts are for install/ diag. I can perform a boost leak test as thats what it sounds like your talking about.

The A/F learning goes to 0 because the ecu into open loop fueling. This means there is no A/F correction and/or learning... This could mean the car "could" be running lean during wot. No you cant trust the afr1 sensor reading of 11.02 or whatever it says at wot as the sensor is very inaccurate and can not be used for monitoring during these conditions. This is why having the engine free of leaks is so important.

I can also perform a cylinder compression and leakdown/leakage tests.

Im actually already going to be up in bingo tomorrow on monday working on another customers car. Steve "Mesk8tin247" 08 forester xt sport

Ill be doing comp/leakage test and fresh sparkplugs, boost/vacuum test, timingbelt, pulleys, thermostat, and water pump. A bunch of other maintenance. Once this is done Ill be installing some parts and tuning the car.

Mod list for this round of installs before the tune "with a wideband afr gauge".

Kstech 73mm CAI, Turbo inlet pipe, Kinugawa TD06SL2-20G 8cm/2.4, STI TMIC, Grimmspeed 38mm EWG uppipe, TBE, Grimmspeed EBCS/ Hallman MBC for hybrid boost control, 800cc fuel injectors, walbro 255 fuel pump, and a underhood fuel filter conversion "getting rid of and replacing the intank fuel filter". I prob missed something but you get the picture.

If your interested in having any work done pm me and I can give you a quote... NP if your more trying to do the BBQ install day with local members sort of thing to figure it out rather then paying to have work done...

5.5% learning isn't too bad. I would think that's more of a slight boost leak than a compression/leakdown worry. Read Bad Noodles guide to tuning, it's a great overview and will help you understand what is going on with the car. Or just sit down with Ian for a couple hours and he'll talk till your ears bleed :P

but if you pay attention you'll be set.

PS: illldeca's post makes me miss my red mudflaps but going from 5 cones a run to FTD is kinda worth it....
