After having 2 updates on my nexus tablet so far, I'm convinced update latency is a carrier bred issue.

New Supra. Nice. I won't have the money to buy one, so I don't really care. And in 10 years when I will be able to afford a used one, I'd rather buy a mid 90s NSX, so I still won't care.

I'm counting on more used sports cars 10 years from now will mean lower overall prices for used sports cars. Figure I won't afford a new anything in that area, or anywhere since buying new is just dumb if you have a driveway and a wrench set. Might as well root for any increase in the available sports car market.

Hey guys, I made a booboo last night.



Any suggestions on a good body shop to take this to who won't decide they need everything in my bank account for a subpar job? It's not as bad as it looks and if it were mid-summer instead of averaging 50* I'd do it myself but my garage is consistently 15* cooler than outside year round somehow.

I'm on the North Side, it's in Bridgeville until mid-day today, so South Hills or North Side or in-between, whatever.

That opinion is fine. But earlier, it seemed as if you cited the ease of upgradeability with a Google manufactured product with no carrier involvement as proof the issue lies with the carriers. Except you are comparing different device manfacturers as well as carriers. It would be more scientifically sound to compare two products from the same non-Google manufacturer, one that needs a carrier and one that does not. Basically, you can't change two variables at once, and blame one of the two variables for the perceived change. Scientific Method 101.

I didn't realize I was being held to some Shek derived OPTv7.14159 Scientific Standard by posting in this thread, my bad. I also said "I'm convinced", which, basically means it's my opinion, stop nitpicking. Also, Google doesn't manufacture the device I was referencing, they just brand it.

I know it was your opinion that's why I said it was fine. Anyone is allowed to have an opinion, no matter how misguided it might be.

Do they physically manufacture the device? No, a 10 year old Chinese girl does that. But they do write and test software on it. And all the issues we are talking about deal with that aspect of it. So the people who write the source code and the people who compile it with the appropriate drivers, test it, etc. are one and the same for a Nexus device. This is not the case with any other Android phone/tablet. So citing the former and then claiming the real issue is due to carriers who are literally the last leg of the journey, is misguided. It may or may not be true. But you can't really arrive at that conclusion with any kind of certainty.

Of course, you can have whatever opinion you like. You are even free to think that Obama is really an Islamic fundamentalist born in Kenya who wants to redistribute the wealth to the poor and lazy but then also kill them all since he wants to blow them all up since he's an Islamic fundamentalist.
