Could someone kindly recommend a legit shop to get my oil changed. I'm not from around the area, thanks!

What area of town are you in?

Moore Subaru could definitely fit your bill.

Does anyone know a proper way to remove the roof bars on the 2013 impreza sport models? The guy at the service center keeps telling me they are bolted from the underside but he also keeps calling my car an outback so just curious as to the truth

He is correct, you have to pull the head liner out and un bolt them and replace the rain gutters. Not the best idea, that is the biggest selling point to a sport is those roof rails.

The selling point for me was the wheels lol but I just wasn't sure about the rails thanks for the help though I appreciate it ill just leave the rails cause I know I'll use them eventually anyways

Missed a word there for a minute. Wondered why anyone would care about the temperature of their gas.

Any interest in a blown EJ25 longblock from an 05 LGT? Heads are still on the block but the valve covers and intake manifold are off in separate boxes with the nuts n bolts for reinstallation. Bottom end knock so we swapped in a used longblock. Good for miscellaneous parts or a rebuild. Block is at our shop on West Liberty Ave.

pump isn't really the problem on subarus, it's the block side. and you gotta clean out all the passageways after you do it. takes like half an hour if they apart.

right here in some version of PGH thread?
pics been up on my picasa since 2009? done at least 2 or 3 more blocks like that since then, but way nicer.
https://picasaweb.google.com/1054272...7915/EJ_blocks

just so you know, i think that was a test block nobody ever used, and a trash oil pump testing on.

working in jasons lab he noticed the 11mm pumps are actually nicely ported smoothed etc. the 10mm arent as nice. the block mods are what we started doing since. I'm sure that was a contributing factor to letting my stock pistons ej205 rev to 8000 rpm every time I drive it. also port matching the oil pump outlet to the block inlet is very helpful. iirc on my stock block the effective sectional area was def not at 100% of available.

though, it wasn't all good. we did try some other oiling mods on one revision of a stock block which didn't turn out so well...lol. Subaru apparently uses a very delicately balanced oil feed to the rods and those aren't casting flaws! lol fun times.

bull****. stuff that engine in your car and beat the hell out of it! if it breaks, oh well, it was going to anyway. if not? a good 704, there's loads of good ones. i'd say tune is way more important than is given credit in all the blown 704 stories.

There is no way i am donating my new engine for r&d. I was talking about the old one! Lol.

My new one im going to run basically as is, except for tool steel wrist pins. I cant spend all my money on what ifs, and second guessing. I think it will live with a great tune, and only time will tell if it holds up. If it does, it will strengthen the tuning theory, and if it dies maybe it will help bring to light a manufacturing issue.

i like this a lot!

if it does blow up though. i know where to get a dead reliable track car that sounds amazing, is cheap as balls to run, fun, challenging, dynamically sweet, ridiculously responsive, and costs less than your turbo and fuel setup..

yeah i'm sellin my civic. soon as i get it back from dave racking up the miles on it. why cant' anyone stick with a 400whp subaru? that's plenty fast.
