Gatdam, I had to remove the radio bezel, then the radio, then the HVAC controls, then tilt it up out of the way, get my tiny asian hands in there and give a reach around to the lighter body and turn it counter clockwise.
Then I found this: ![]() Fusible link had melted. So I made my own...verrrryyy carefully... ![]() LOL, yup, that's a ****in' solder bridge alright! |

A little PSA for you guys. Some of you might recall a user Phatyonjoe. He might still lurk here for all I know. Probably does. Either way some communities have been buzzing about him. I know Dan has had some shady dealings with him but it apparently goes much deeper than that:

I remember I sold him some parts and he owed me money for a long time but eventually paid up after I hounded him about it.
On a separate note, is anyone here interested in a 2007 WRX TR? My brother Max is thinking of selling his. It's very lightly modded and has no problems. Specs: 2007 WRX TR WRB 40,500 miles TBE + reflash (stock boost) STI trunk swap ![]() He's looking for $14500 obo. |

i like to point out that oil does a grand bit of condensing solar power over time, naturally. organically.
until we get some microbes or bacteria that just fester on old plant matter(particularly grasses for their growth rates and otherwise uselessness) and **** unburnt simple sugars or anything easily fermentable, we're stuck with burning borrowed time with oils. |

A personal solar still would be something i would be interested in, with a yeast that ferments natural sugars from grass clippings, paper, leaves, and generally discarded plant matter. Basically what you said.
Im sure that any headway in that general direction would put you in conflict with dependance on oil products, and would most certainly cause your disappearance, untimely death, etc. |

you have any insight or links to further info spread on solar stills? i like the concept. like a mr fusion, but i'm sure you'd have to be real careful with what goes in, monitor PH, important gas and sugar fractions. all be pulped for maximum contact area, pumps for passing it through a permanent hard installation, or in plastic film bags. maybe have an auto control device that injects corrective agents into the slurry, i don't know. i'd really like to be on the forefront of that development, but none of it is really in any realm of mine.

I injected a slurry into your mom. You're mom wasn't real careful with what went inside. I gave your mom a permanent hard installation. I pumped and pulped you moms contract area... And i didn't use any plastic film bags. |

Awd welcome. There is a local meet the first wednesday of the month, at the quaker steak and lube in robinson.
Jason, as far as i know, no solar still exists. Its just an idea. A large amount of energy is needed to boil wort (beer) to distill the alcohol from it. This begins at 173deg. My idea would be to collect solar energy in dark tubing, and maybe some freznel lenses, mirrors, etc and intensify available light to get it to temperature. Personally i feel chemical fuels such as petrochemical and bio fuels are the still the way to go. The infrastructure is already there to deliver them and its very hard to beat the energy density that liquid fuels provide, along with them being relatively stable (safe). I would like to see alcohol used more if it could be produced in a manner that was not dependant on fossil fuel and electricity to be produced. Last edited by slowgenius; 01-05-2013 at 07:48 PM. |

We can take care of you when you come down to the shop, Nathan. Our machine is decent (as long as you don't have 24's or something LOL) and we can either do a computerized or old-fashioned mo-spo alignment, depending on what you're looking to do with the car.

Yup that's me. I'm actually staying in the loft connected to the club until I find a house in the point breeze or squirrel hill area.
