Thanks, in the end it just a car. There will be others. MX Racer's car would be perfect but the timing is all wrong.

If I had 20k liquid I wouldn't be selling my car. I'd be finishing it. Not much to be gained going from mine to his. Turbos are pretty much the same size but the suspension and aesthetics of the 05 are much better. Cams and avcs too. My thoughts are by next spring a high mileage 05 will be around 12k. Pull motor ,replace pistons rods and bearings add Dom3,fmic and suspension mods. Should be well under 20k done. that is why with the cams, wheels and other stuff I would be all over his car if I had no subie and the cash. It is a bargain no matter how you slice it.

Yeah. Asides from rods and choice of turbo it is exactly what i would like to end up with.[quote=Moore Performance;36907728]For all of you 5 speed transmission guys, take a look b/c you need this!!!

Congrats on addressing what I and many others believe to be the real culprit behind most 5mt failures. I wonder if TKIANM (the know it all nasioc masses) will accept this though.

Thanks Vern and that's pretty funny! There is a pretty big thread for "5 mt trans bracing" and guys look like they want these items, so we'll see what happens.

It doesn't have to actually work. There just have to be enough people who think it actually works for it to be a good idea.

Jason, feel free to step in here and show us why this works and how intuitive the reasoning behind it is and how I should've learned it at Pitt.

I lost track of the subject after the six speed swap. Back then the trans flex gang was outnumbered big time.

Have a new owner for my STi today too.

I was thinking about grabbing something cheap with a bad motor and having Ryan rebuild it as a weekend car. Is there a better/best place to find one of these?

it's an 04/05, but the downside is he either painted it flat black or maybe even plastidip, not sure, but I think it could be had pretty cheap. It was on craigslist and the vehicle for sale section. He's been trying to sell it since I think early Jan.

not 5k! lol! 3k at most. I'd offer 2k and maybe go up to 2.5k. Never get a good resale on a flood title.

I wouldn't even want to deal with it for any cost. But I'm not a project type person. I've only seen it driving by but it does look to be in alright shape.

I think hes asking 4 currently
