Shut up fool !! If you in full hater mode doesn't get it going then all is lost. I find myself hanging out on the smoked meat{insert your mom joke here} forum more than here.

So I think I am going to try and contact the wrong way guy's family. They deserve a better explanation and maybe they can get the state to do something about that on ramp.

Sorry, but dude drove the wrong way on the interstate for a mile...

That's not something you just do and think nothing about.

I am pretty convinced that it was a combo of an error that I have seen other people make at that intersection in the daylight and some form of impairment. Fatigue, alcohol or something. I saw a guy in a box truck turn early to go up that ramp a month ago. He stopped immediately and backed up though. . I have seen other people make last minute corrections there as well. Bobert and lowlife know the intersection. Still I can see your point . Why would anyone think otherwise?

It is one mile in the dark until you get to the bridge with no off ramp until just before the bridge. Plenty of room to get off to the side though. There is a fairly long merge lane on that side as trucks have to climb a hill to get to the highway. Still, if you haven't seen the set up try and not to be so arbitrary. If he was looking to commit suicide why didn't he try to ram me head on ? He stayed in the other lane like he was driving on a two way street.

Thing with me is that I saw this guy in the last few minutes of his life. I was the first car he encountered and there was enough of a gap behind me that he could have easily got off the road before he ran into the two lane traffic behind me. So i struggle with could I have done more. Sorry. It is the way I am made. I can't turn the guy into an equation or a Darwin joke.

I don't know the intersection I guess, but I don't see how you could've done more short of running him yourself since your car is less massive than a FedEx truck and trailer.

Stopping him by running into him was not the only alternative. Getting his attention and alerting him to his situation would have done it I think. I dipped into his lane to get his attention then swerved off the road to show him that there was room to pull over. I was flashing my lights the entire time. What I don't get is why he didn't notice the traffic ahead or the two lanes next to him. So maybe he did notice. Maybe he avoided me and other cars and purposefully crashed into the fed ex truck to insure a quicker ending. But you are right. What could I have done other than that ?

It cannot have been suicide, statistically speaking.

A few people I work with commented that the particular on-ramp is confusing and would potentially make someone go the wrong way. Did he not understand he was not on just a two-lane highway??

By the way he was driving, even after I dipped into his lane I am pretty sure he had no clue up to our encounter. However, there was a semi in the passing lane and about six cars on a well it bridge directly ahead of him. If he was texting, fiddling with gps or something he may not have seen them until it was too late. He did ot react to me dipping into his lane either.

What you see at this intersection is two lanes divided by a white line and a k barrier. One lane is for left hand turns. You cannot see the on ramp on the other side of the barrier at night. He turned inside the barrier and died as a result.

The state is installing a " three way intersection" sign were my son had his accident by the way. He is as we speak picking up a 2004 escape at my friend's dealership in Lawrenceville.

Just completed a two-month investigation: caught and a person receiving fraudulent welfare benefits for 9 months, totalling $4500

I submitted this to the office of the inspector general for criminal fraud charges, they will intervene and take his taxes if he does not pay this money back to the government and I sure hope there is at least a fine, if not probation/prison given this guy's record.

Congrats on that. As an owner of several of those models I can tell you the maintenance on them is pretty much constant throughout the life of the owner. First 18 years or so requires almost constant monitoring of all systems.
