Very true I'm probably going to suck it up and go there

Every single friday night, never fails. I always pull out onto Washington road and pull to get up to speed. Granted it's still in intelligent mode so no real "racing of the engine" and not too much boost, shifting at 4k. Only done it twice but I seriously feel like I just got drunk and abused my wife. 405 miles on it, 595 to go til I won't have this problem....

Someone tell me I worry too much

Bought the crap to make a cupcaketini for my girlfriend. Need to know how to make it! I actually called QSL and the bartender wasn't much help lol.. she just said she wings it. I can't get it to the pink thicker consistency as if we got it there.

are you trying to break in the engine? the load and/at RPM are needed to get a good ring seal. miles is a great indicator for wheel bearing breakin, but i've always thought ridiculous measure for engine wear. the only thing that really "breaks in" on engines are rings and seals. seals you can give a **** about, they either leak or they don't, and as long as they're lubricated they wont really know what's spinning in them at what speed, and dont' know how much torque is being applied to the crank.

so rings then.
rings don't have an easy life, and they certainly don't just sit in their grooves and slide smoothly in the bore in perfect step with the piston. they are always spinning, have their own harmonics, and take time to settle as the compression rings are only really flat all the way around against any ring land when combustion pressure is applied. they are very dynamic, although constrained pretty well, the face is never fully supported, so:

when you put a certain combustion pressure(lets be simple and say power) on a ring at a certain acceleration(rpm), it deforms a certain amount in a certain way, and the sealing face presented to the bore is distorted a corresponding amount. yes it's microscopic. it still matters. so if you wear it to the cylinder wall (break it in) under light load conditions, then it's somewhat set in it's ways for the range of conditions the ringpack saw. now if you increase the loads or RPM, you'll just be wearing it in, in a new way, a different part of the ring face, except that will not have the rougher microstructure of the fresh cylinder wall to actually wear the ringpack in it's newer, now more deformed facial state, so it'll take a long time to do so, if it does. the difference is really only a few percent of seal, and you can't really measure it at low piston speeds like a compression or leakdown test, it only shows up in the power curve and crankcase as blowby.

a bore once smoothed, is basically a bore, mated to nothing. but a ring once broken in is ready to seal to a certain load, bore size and ring groove geometry. when they come out with high temp surface sealing coatings for rings, you'll start seeing million mile blocks with hard as hell unobtanium bores. but i doubt that'll ever be cost effective.

papa your engine is probably already broken in, so i wouldn't worry about it. rings get their seal in thousands of cycles, regardless what gears you put at that back of them.

so yeah, break it in hard. but only after the engine and oil is up to temp. i'm sure the lot attendants see to that though.

shake it with ice after you've put everything together, then strain that out into your glass. it should thicken it up a bit because of the lower temp.

Well, yes, kind of. You can run AVCS with an 02/03 ECU but I think you'd have to make some electrical modifications to the ECU. Or just overnight a JDM ECU.

On another note, I just noticed how incredibly poor the english on my nav system is. Turned Bluetooth off on my phone and I get a pop up saying:

"Connection to mobile phone was disconnect"

All of your grammarz are belong to me
