shek the fact that you fully analyzed, almost wrote a book on dans runs when he did them. and now somehow forgot about that and require proof that they were indeed run. it's like talking to my gramma. lately you've been requiring proof and defense of anything said, even anecdotaly.

i don't wanna fight. i don't have anything to prove. this is our collective living room here, we're just hangin out and relaxing, sometimes stopping bad advice or rumors: no jumping on the furniture or makin it like the rest of nabisco!

The time when I was at the track with Dan he ran a high 11 at high teen/ low twenties. I think he was having boost controller issues. I was not there when he trapped 128. I would've been ecstatic because not many Subarus trap above 124.

Maybe your memory is off?

Here is a 1/4 mile run video that I just came across. 11.8 @ 117 in a 2WD fatcar. Do you think it would drop its ET at all with a 100 shot of nitrous?

Yeah Shek the time we went I was still using the AVC-R.

The fastest run I have data-logged is 11.46 @ 124.48 with a crappy 1.8 60ft.

BTW the car is still for sale... It's a monster on the track or at the strip. It really only needs a cage for competition and would make a fantastic hill-climber. PM if interested.

I'm not allowed to make my own thread yet (need more posts) so posting this here for now. Pickup only, anyway:

I have a Seibon OEM style hood (04-05) I'd like to be rid of. The corners are slightly damaged (less than a .5 inch bite on one side, < .25 on the other) and there's a small crack underneath towards the windshield (not visible when on the car).

I had put this on the car after the stock lost an argument with a deer. Wasn't all that crazy about it so had a new stock hood installed at the dealership. I can grab some pics of it if there's interest but at the moment its still at the dealership as I haven't had a chance to borrow a vehicle it will fit in. Right now it's in Irwin, PA and when i get it home it will be in Brownsville.

I'd like to get $275 for it and I'll throw in a new set of hood pins (silver) from MachV with it.

Link to the hood:
http://seiboncarbon.com/store/produc...a-wrx-sti.html

The pins:
http://www.fastwrx.com/hoodpins.html

note: the hood is NOT drilled for the pins

Once again sorry for posting this here.

That's a fairly large error isn't it? The difference between making a brick fly through the traps at 128 vs 124 is at least 40whp if not more.

Dan, yeah, that would've been a very low 11 second run if you could've reproduced that killer 1.65 60' you had gotten on other runs. I guess you aren't a drag racer...

Also, this is something I've noticed when people talk about their drag racing times. Drag racers always seem to round the ET down and the trap speed up whenever possible. So an 11.5@124 turns into an 11.4@125. That's just free horsepower!

Not singling Jason out, just gave me a good opportunity to illustrate something I've noticed over the years.

Which brings me to my next point, are fractions of a penny legal? Why can gas stations advertise their prices as 3.99 and 9/10ths of a penny? WTF? And 99% of the people are just blissfully ignorant of that last 9/10ths of a penny.

Yeah, this would be a great opportunity for some aspiring Psych majors to observe and record the average time it takes for a typical driver to go bat **** crazy for having to wait too long.

Everything is calm at the front half of the caravan. But being in the rear half means the people you have waiting for you at intersections have been waiting there longer for you versus the cars at the front. So they are more inclined to cut you off.

My recommendation is, get to the rendezvous point early so you'll be at the front of the pack and not have to risk clashing metal and paint with others.

The first year they did the escort, they had motorcycle cops pull up at the intersectinos and stop the people, the last couple of years they have been undermanned escorts and creating havoc. If they have the motorcycle cops to make sure people aren't going crazy, it's safe.

Combine that with the fact that some drivers in the caravan don't get it and start letting traffic through and stuff, it's my favorite kind of chaos.

Nonetheless, I would prefer to see it from the rear view mirror, I'm calling a front 1/5th place on the caravan!

I use crossroads for tire mounting and had forks rebuilt. Tried inspection but the bike failed for no neutral indicator? I don't do bike inspections usually anyway.

Or just blissfully unconcerned over 9/10ths of a penny ? I definitely hear you on the drag racer time thing. I have been guilty of it LOL.
