i threw a hotdog at your mom.. if you know what i mean. eh? eh?
it's probably better to just invite those that seem like good company instead of anybody with a flat4, that's pretty funny though. and sloRT.. my wife.. 9 years ago couldn't really cook or bake. now she's damned phenomenal at it. has been for years. |

The hotdog toss is the highest form of respect, think about it, someone tossed a perfectly good hotdog at you. Be thankful.
Congratulations Vern, good times. |

I know it pissed ya off but if you would have skimmed a few pages of this thread you would know that posting here was not the way to contact that person. We do not condone nor endorse food throwing of any kind. |

well at least she knows how to make a grilled cheese lol
she's not good at coming up with things, she can only follow directions on a recipe. I'll have to sit down with her one night and teach her the basics haha and also, Since the meet falls on the 4th of july is it the following week? |

wut? no way that was a great intro!
RT grilled cheese is a gateway. tastespotting and other food journals make up a lot of Rs browsing. and she has a couple (overflowing) marble notebooks where she writes the recipies down, reorganizes them, and changes them around. dont thinkshe's really read a cookbook, but i mean, she loves good food, it's not something to compromise on. she was more interested in baking than cooking, but i mean, if you dont have a lot of money, and liek to eat good, you have to make it yourself, nowdays we have a real hard time eating out, as the foods always better at home. when my younger brother was living with us, even to her best dishes he'd be "meh, it's food" which inspired her to spend no effort cooking. so i mean.. positive reinforcement is part of it. straight up honesty too. when we were living with my older brother, he stopped eating out and started coordinating his continual quest for the best ingredients, and it was really symbiotic. some amazing food and technique was made then. anyway, good luck. |

Fresh ingredients that are grown without chemicals and pesticides taste the best, like garden stuff. Also buying meat from the source if they raise animals in a regular way, not the factory farm way tastes way better also IMO

Too each his own. A burger fried in it's own fat makes me want to punch Disney characters. I prefer my burgers grilled over charcoal. 1/3 pound of 80/20 with Worcestershire mixed in formed into a 1/2" thick patty. Seasoned with a good rub and turned once. Lid off. A slice of room temperature sharp cheddar with the lid on and all vents closed for thirty seconds. Let em rest for about five minutes under a foil tent while the buns toast on the grate. Lightly butter the buns and dust with a light shake of garlic powder before toasting. Try it people. Your guests will wash your car and cut your grass.

netbooks and wifi on the honeymoon! so was kennywood crowded? was a good time, R told me about your more singing/band idea which would have been awesome!
aaand so i did a post mortem on my NA block. looks like the largish clearances(i did just slap it together, no remachining) on the rod bearings(~0.003" IIRC), high oil temp(no cooler) and extended time at higher RPM with light load(that's key, 4k in 5th is now 77~80mph with my gearing, depending on what wheels/tires i'm running) caused cavitation and bearing surface destruction on you guessed it, #3 rod. other rod bearings show signs of cavitation, but #3 was by far the worst, and the cavitation led to a significantly reduced bearing area(~1/2) and then a hot short, where the bearing overheats. crank seems unafected, stopped driving it in time, but i'll just add it to the stack of cranks to drop off for regrinding. so it really wasn't beating on it or anything like that what killed it. cruising on the highway with the shortest gearing and build apathy did. :/ new engine oil clearances are actually much tighter, and i'm putting in a wrx 5th gear and oem oil-water cooler, so should be all good in the future. also this is an 11mm pump going in not a 10 like the one that was in there. or the stock 7mm trash.
