Default Sighting:MY02 Platinum

08-18 around 9:30pm at the "Old Chicago" on 87th and Wads. Has black STi decals on doors, silver windshield tint strip and "WRX STi 5.0" metal decal on the rear. MY02 body, no front end spler, stck rims, stck tires, stck spnsion. What Sti mods do you have? Car looks sweet, but, I dont believe its an STi, I was just wondering what mods you have to justify the STi badges? To me the car looked bone stock, besides the asthetics.

Dont mean to urinate on anyones leg, it just bothers me, that people think decals make their vehicles go faster.

STi badging is rice. Just like Type R stickers. Yeah you can put type R parts in your car, but does it made it a type R? The same goes with STi.

That's my professional opinion.

Nick,
I know you just didn't call my car RICE because I have the carbon fiber badge.

I have an Sti badge and I justify it because I like it and here I thought it gave me at least 2 tenths in the quarter.

Default STi

What ever floats your bubble I guess, I dont have to much of a problem with STi badges if you actually have STi components. But, the only STi components I saw were the actual badges, didnt even have the Tit STi shift knob. Just seems like a BIG LIE. I just never thought WRX people would stoop so low.

p.s.
Im willing to bet, if I rip the SS badge of my camero and glue it to my WRX rear bumper, it would run 12's too.

You know that wasn't my ride, but I think if people would just concentrate on their own cars and less time passing judgement on others, there would be a lot more awesome WRX's running around.

I guess WRX owners are just like everyone else. Probably no better, or no worse.

If you think there isn't any Camaro's running around with "fake" SS or Z28 badges, you haven't been looking very hard. I have been around Camaro's since 1982 when I first bought mine and I've have seen tons of them. I still have my Camaro and have never thought bad of anyone who had SS or Z28 badge on their ride.

If I were you, I would rip off that SS badge of your Camaro and see if your WRX will run 12's.

Let me know if it works .

I think the day someone else pays for my WRX, that is the day they can pass judgement it.

Hey, all I'm saying is think about it before someone starts making fun of the fake Type-R's or fake Cobra stangs or whatever. I like the emblem myself(STi) and I do have STi parts on my car, but you know.

My car came with the STi short shifter and titanium shift knob. Is that, like, factory rice?

josh

Oh, and I do have some aftermarket imitation rice, in the form of replica cf sidemarkers, courtesy of Revolutions Motorsports.

Hey now, its starting to smell like smoke, I dont want a flame war.
I was just let down because i did a double take, and I was hoping STi had made an appearance finally.
Hey, I said the car looks nice, which it did, but that is the only respect I will give that car, for now.

I see huge "nike swooshes" on cars all the time and I know for sure their not "powered by nike."

As for false badging; if you like to do it, its your car.
But, in my experience, it cheapens the whole fast car essence. I take pride in my cars. Which I cannot purchase by adding a $20.00 badge. Old school puritan maybe?

As for my SS, if I take the badge off it, I take the chance that it will only run 16's; which is not an option. Maybe if i ever get my rexy to run 12s, I can swap em and try and rule out the whole boostbadge hypothesis.
